American Captured

Okay so I was just watching Fox News with my mum, and an average American civilian went to Pakistan, leaving his wife and kids behind in a solo mission to hunt down and kill Osama Bin Laden but he got caught in his tracks by the Pakistan army and is now being held in jail in Pakistan. His wife says he's not a crusader and only wants to do the right thing. US government and Pakistan government are talking over the release of him. When my mom first mentioned this I thought she meant we dropped off some Black Ops soldier in the desert who hunted down and killed Osama then got captured, but then saw that it was a hippie from the US who is only a civilian. I don't really know what to say, except that he's lucky to be alive.

He sounds like a proper tosser and, whilst it would suck for his family, I wouldn't feel sorry for his death due to it being brought on by a severe case of stupidity.

Granted, if it's true. Sounds quite unlikely.

I just saw that story too. Honestly, the dude must've been a little crazy...but hey he'd probably have had better luck finding Bin Laden than the US troops have.
I don't even think Bin Laden's alive anymore, personally. He's like a myth at this point. If they find him ever, my mind will be blown.

Yeah. I think he's dead. The videos of him released before and right after 9/11, he looked like a sick old man, grey hair but then videos released in like 2007 he had no grey hair and looked healthier, I think they got the tapes completely mixed up and everything, I think he's dead.

Osama is a ghost in the fog now. He is laughing as they scour the middle east for him he shaved his beard and is living in France sipping Martinis.

As for this guy, other than whatever Fox News might have thrown over the story to manipulate it (If they did) he is an idiotic git who deserved it.

Ironic. Okay, so Fox News is very good at generalizing, or maybe you just don't like them cause you think communism is good, I don't get it, why don't you just move to Russia? You say you love communism and it's a great thing, (even though every country who follows it usually ends up 3rd world and economy crashes etc) so just move to Russia, you can be the new czar, you look like Peter the Great, like his own twin so you could just go there and say you're related to him. Fox isn't the only bad one out there, MSNBC is a liberal network, so they're honestly just as bad as Fox News. I could go on and on, you only dislike them cause they're not your party and they trash the **** out of your party.

Are you serious? You think FOX adds **** to their stories? LOL All the liberal networks are EXACTLY like Fox so please, don't tell me Fox is bad when almost every other news station out there is worse. MSNBC even completely changed the story, they took a picture of a black guy with an assault rifle outside the White House at the protest for 2nd amendment and edited the picture and said that "The protest was a bunch of white republican gun happy freaks" when in reality there were several black men their with assault rifles and hunting rifles. So, how can you criticize someone for generalizing and being sensational, when everything you follow is generalizing and sensational?

Communism has never been achieved so no country has been communist then fallen.
Russia isn't communist.
How is what I follow generalized things again?
And a lot of stations do screw up and often are irrational or sensational but in my experience Fox is the worst, especially with the mistakes they make and the fact that they have Megan Kelly who doesn't accept any opinion but her own and screams over people who try to make a good point, O'Reilly who has been "owned" several times but edits those "ownings" out of his interviews or stops said interviews short. and Glenn Beck who is a wild conspiracy theorist.

Okay, yeah, I'll give you that one... Glen does act like it's a government take over the world kinda thing, sometimes I wonder about him.. well communism is about taking money from people who work for it, and giving it to people who don't work, to put everyone on the same level, like you said it's never been achieved. It cant be achieved, it's an impossible world to create, but since you're all for it, why not just take a trip down to the bad parts of town, and you can give your life savings that you and your parents worked for to some poor people so they'll be on the same level as you.

That's exactly what he meant, only he said take the from the richman and give it to the worker, but there is no worker, in this society the worker IS the rich man and the beggars are the ones that are getting money for nothing.

This is what happened when you rely on one source of new for all you information.

Your fine Sean, no hard feelings, I don't get ****ed over the internet haha.

I am not a very political person, I used to be, now my argumentative/study interest is leaning towards religion and philosophy.

Arseface might be able to draw upon a better debate but my understanding of Communism is equalizing the social classes and giving more money to the workers and less to the sellers, basically.

And when I really think about it, I am not truly communist, I have no set ideology and the two that I like most contradict themselves. But by default I call myself communist because it fits closer to what I like.

I actually remember Firis saying he liked the "idea" of communism. Just as everyone else in the world should, unless they're a stuck-up American billionaire.

On topic, the guy seemed a little stupid. Pakistan has been extremely cautious ever since they started fighting with India over Kashmir so going over there by yourself is really a bad thing to do.

Sorry, I don't just an internet based website, especially one that anyone and everyone can edit. I'd rather believe in History books and what my teachers who have professionalized in teaching history all their lives. Just saying.
