Ive got a decent internet package and the animations in some peoples sigs take a while to load so id have to agree that 1.5mb for an avatar would be overkill.

Can you imagine how long it would take the average low-end broadband user to load a page if every single person had a 1.5MB graphic slapped above their profile? It's also a colossal waste of bandwidth. "90KB was more than enough."

I agree with all the internet issues, as my internet is terrible and I only get 3GB a month for $50 with a speed of like 60kb, but a 2 picture gif of mine is over 900KB, so I don't think it's anywhere near enough.

The size limit must've been changed/reset after the new server upgrade. Andy told me the current staff limit is a little over 1MB for now, members' limit is even lower.
