guys I read about this, how with high guile you can buy stock and resell to same trader for profit. Well eithe rmicrosoft fixed this on the fable on xbox live or it doesnt work for me.
I am on guile level 6 one from the highest level.
Tried the following.
Initially brought a few perfumes from the oakvale store and sold them to the guy near Bowerstone South entrance and made a profit so thought I take one step further and do the trick people mentioned, I brought them all back and then sold to him, noticed I had less money and then not enough to buy them all back again. I also tried with the apples, the apples were priced at 1 gold each, yet when I did buy all I paid more than 1 per apple.
As I understand it what you guys are saying when you do buy all you pay the price it shows on the screen, so if a shopkeeper has high stock and you buy it all you pay the cheap price for the entire stock. For me when I do buy all it is clearly only buying the first ones cheap and the last ones at a premium, and I guess when I sell back it works similarly so the loophole is closed in my version or it only works in the lost chapters.
I have the original fable downloaded of xbox live marketplace and playing on the xbox360, probably going to buy a xbox copy of the lost chapters on ebay, no idea why microsoft put the original on live instead of TLC.
Luckily it seems renting is indeed a good way of getting money and a massive relief as before I tried it I was really struggling for gold, you get next to no gold beating monsters in this game, I even killed a trader and got a measly 60 gold for it so would have to kill quite a lot to get what I do for renting.
So what I am doing now I have the oakvale house at full upgrade, sleep 6 times (3 days) run outside collect my 2400 rent and sleep another 6 times and collect rent, repeating as much as I need to for cash I want.
I found another guide which seems to make sense for trading.
That guy says buy the perfume and gems cheap in oakvale store, but not to buy entire stock due to price going up when stock low, rest in your house so he restocks, and buy some more, keep repeating. Then the best place to sell the stock is to wondering traders in darkwook lake. The problem with selling to store traders in towns is they keep the stock so after you sell the first ones for profit they no longer offer high price and as I said earlier in post if I buy it all back of them I make a loss.
Thoughts on this? anyone else got the xbox live version on the xbox360 and notice this?
