Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Following the Kane theme - isn`t Nod`s announcer-voice in Tiberium Wars THE best voice of them all? You know, the one saying "building", "training", "cannot deploy here" or "intelligence data updated", also announcing mission objectives. It`s even better than Kabal.

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

I forget the voice sorry... and its C.A.B.A.L (Computer Assisted Biologically Advanced Lifeform) and CABAL was the **** I mean an AI that is connected with a highly advanced piece of alien technology and then goes rampant nearly taking over the world (secondly If im right than the NOD AI in C&C 3 is LEGION which is 30% CABAL 50% EVA and 20$ scrin tech)

Ask Steve, the C&C series is one of the first games we played online and when i came up with my Dark Drakan name. Red Alert 2 was the first game i actually played online with my old 56k dial up connection & Kane is possibly the most well remembered guy besides Yuri in the series.

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Ohhhh....I know who THAT is. I think Steve tried to get me interested but sadly failed

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Here's a query. Do you Brits ever feel the truly gut-wrenching agony that is the lack of a well-developed candy-marketing and child-terrifying machine?

(Okay, fine, I don't really remember the last time we had this discussion, but I THINK youse guys said that Brit-Halloween was less widespread/mercantile/big/whatever than in the US, but I'm not sure how we would judge that; seeing as I've never seen Brit-Halloween and you've never seen Yank-Halloween and it would really depend on which part of Yank-land you visited so I'm not really sure how this question makes sense and I'm hyper because it's late, I have lots of homework I need to get done before tomorrow, and I reek of fog-solution from my library's little haunted-house thing I helped operate today and so I'm obsessing and HEADLESS CLERICAL AID SHALL NOW GO DO CHEM HOMEWORK.)

Halloween as we have said is nowhere near as big here. Some kids do like it and go trick or treating and people do hold parties but nowhere near the extent that you do over there. I mean i have seen about 6 trick or treaters in about 2 years in my area. My local pub is kitted out with Halloween decorations and having fancy dress party but thats about as much as i will see.

Well, that's about half as many as I got the last two years. We've only gotten about six people, 'cause all the kids in our neighborhood grew up. Or at least that's my explanation. But yeah, that wasn't the question. Jeeze, Drakan, what's with that?

I was asking if you fully comprehended the agonizing lack.

Well, actually, I just realized you probably don't. My guess is your pub wouldn't let you trick-or-treat for beer; and after all, what is vast amounts of chocolate beside that?

Vampire vs werewolf?

Hmm id go for Vampire as they are the smarter and more cunning of the creatures. Although Werewolf was a tempting choice as they are ravenous bloodthirsty beasts and who doesnt find that an appealing character trait.

Agree.
But it depends how you see them. For example, in the Van Hellsing movie, vampires looked bad, but the werewolves on the other hand were supercool... If we take Alucard from Hellsing manga... he is the best.

Yeah i know what you mean, that was a quite different portrayal than you usually see and quite intriguing.

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Vampire "urban fantasy" that should probably just be called "supernatural blood-porn" or werewolf "urban fantasy" that should probably also be called "supernatural blood-porn," but which is slightly, a little tiny bit less likely to be crap?

Or, of course, the third option: none of the above.

So, is anyone else as insanely short into the game as I am? Last time I played I had just barely got through the Howling Halls or whatever they're called on the way to Bloodstone.
