Anyway, my question. What keeps you motivated to run this place, staff members?
I have little to nothing to do with the running of this place aside from visiting it (albeit scarcely in recent months) - Steve does it because nothing makes him more happy than coding and optimizing. Sad, really...

Dear Drakan,

Steve and Sharon have been visiting this site less and less over the last year, does this mean they've lost interest?

Has this ship sailed?

Your loyal companion,

D to the R to the O to the D to the E to the D.
Ok, so not Drakan, but just to put off any possible usurping ;), DD pretty much nailed it - with Jake's arrival I personally have not had the time to dedicate to this place - or indeed any of the other sites I am involved with. Steve, as ever, does plenty behind the scenes that most of you will probably never notice and at the moment, my family is taking precedent over the sites. I'm anticipating more of a presence in the New Year once all the family stuff has chilled a bit and Jake is more settled.

Here's a question a Gears of War question....

Would you rather be headbutted by a Grinder or make love to a Berserker?

-Hermit

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

I'd do the Berserker. What can I say, my love for her is like a truck!

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

@all staff
what did you get for the holidays?

Would you like some making ****? Berserker.

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Dear staff, have you read "Post Nuke"? And if not you should, good read so far and real artistic talent.

Also, do you guys/girl enjoy "Proffesional" Wrestling even though it is staged and sometiems annoying?

The Heatbutt sounds the more pleasant option.

Post Nuke? Nope never heard of it.
Wrestling? Always hated it. Had a friend at school who thought it was amazing but I could never get into it. Men in Lycra groping each other? Is that really a sport?

And that would mean what exactly? Forgive me but I'm old and not "down with the kids" anymore

@staff
if i rang your doorbell right now with a box of donuts, season 1 of the simpsons, and a sixer...what would you do?
(assuming you knew who it was)
I rarely answer the door. I'm on a diet. I don't like The Simpsons and I don't drink, so...

To all the admins, what would you do if a naked man was breakdancing on your lawn at 4:00am?
I'd be very surprised as I don't have a lawn.

Skotekal;348459 said:
To all British admin, how often do little American kids go all crazy if you talk on Xbox Live?
Very rarely. I mostly tend to use my mic when gaming with friends. Although, I am much more inclined to use a mic when playing with fellow-Brits.

Firis;348491 said:
Also, @ all staff, What is your opinion on bands such as "Insane Clown Posse" and "Mindless Self Indulgence"
Insane Clown Posse is not to my tastes at all. I haven't heard of Mindless Self Indulgence.

Dear projectego.net staff, any good online Youtube HQ downloader to recommend?

Thanks. :)

Good question. I actually visit the site every single day - I'm just not always signed in. I check to see if anything needs upgrading or if there's a problem anywhere. I'm also optimizing and adding subtle features to the homepage all the time. I create server backups every week (sometimes two or three times) or "snapshots" basically because I end up changing so much junk that I'd like to know that I have something to fall back on if something goes wrong. I have piles and piles and spindles of backup server CDs and DVDs.

Fact: This site brings in the majority of the cash needed to keep the network running. I'd be an idiot not to keep a constant eye on this place.

If I'm not doing server stuff then I'll either be spending time with the family - I'm extremely fortunate to have so much freedom in my life that I can just manage the websites full time - or playing on the 360.

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

When is a rabbit not a rabbit?

When it is a hare

I thought of that myself. I think anyway.. have you heard of it before? And do you think it is remotely smart or humorous?
