I've seen lots of members go due to this place just being boring and uninteresting. I'm starting to come to the same realization that they did, but I'm hoping something changes my mind.

What makes something interesting? Good community with good people who have good conversations? Which part do you feel lacking?

I just joined with this forum and I can only go off my short tenure here but in that time I've met some really cool people, really helpful people. All of which have a passion for a similar interest and all of which have a major common means for communication (xbox live for instance).

In any case, sorry to see you go and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Same thing happened before the release of Fable 2, activity decreased, people started leaving for the same reasons.. then it came out and everyone came back along with a flood of new members, though it didn't help that F2 was not on PC. As Andy said, there have been more quieter times than this, it happens.

I won't insult the community, I just don't think I'm interested in the same things as the general people here.

I don't know where I stand really. I won't 100% validate my leave, just don't be surprised if I don't come back. Besides, the forums are starting to become slightly more interesting.

But I only come to this forum because the gaming forums (particularly the Fable III forums) just make me want to tear my face off and burn it.

Then join another forum that caters for those needs too and the needs you had used this one for will still be there when you come back.

So in the space of 4 days the forums & people have gone from being boring and uninteresting to slightly more interesting even though the people are the same, activity is the same, threads are the same and in general nothing has changed?

So out of curiosity whats upped the interest?

Well, for the first time in a long time, there's a thread I want to post in! Which is the music thread.

But after that dies I'll probably get bored again. The people are the same, but sometimes they post topics that I'm genuinely interested in. I thought that I'd never find a topic like that again. Mind you, things could still go in the opposite direction.

Its a forum, every now and again theres a thread that grabs your interest amongst 80% that dont. I cant claim to be interested in every thread and only read most as its my job to view them but there are some great threads in there that i enjoy posting in. If none grab your attention then make some and get others talking too.

So then why not start posting things that you are interested in? Maybe the people will surprise you by being just as interested as you are.

Seriously, the cure for boredom is to get busy having fun not wait for someone else to do it for you.

Yeah, but I guess the dry patch lasted long enough for me to falsely realize that I'd just never be interested again.

Mind you, the only topic I'm interested in right now is such a broad term anyway.

That's the thing, no one here is very interested in anything I'm interested in. Anything I post would probably just die after a few days of people saying "i don't know what that is but cool!!".

I'll see how things go in the next week or so, perhaps I'm in need of a small break from here to refresh my brain.

Take a break, sounds fine to me. Get back when your all recharged.

And when you do why don't you post up some things your interested in. Like I said you might be surprised. You should just make a list of interests right here to be honest.

Seriously, I had a lot of fun listening to new music. Maybe you can introduce people to new things by making a topic for whatever new thing you want to expose people to. Use your talents!

I find stuff all the time, I'd need my own damn board for all the stuff I can drag up.

Actually I have an idea. How about a thread called DarkenedSoul's Musical Palace where I post stuff I find that's really good? I listen to a LOT more than metal, so maybe there will be something for everyone.

Plus, I'd have a reason to stay.
