Best Ranged Weapon?

I'm doing a range of polls, to find out the best of everything offensive, so please respond to my best spells and best melee weapons polls 2:D

Re: Best Ranged Weapon?

anyone care to explain the difference between turret and clockwork? I don't seem to see the difference except in slight damage.

Re: Best Ranged Weapon?

The difference between a Turret/Repeating and a Clockwork weapon becomes apparent when you get Brutal Styles 3: Chain Attacks. If you are using a Clockwork weapon, if you quickly press "Y" when you hear the reloading sound, you're weapon will automatically reload, meaning your character will pretty much be able to keep firing over and over without having to stop for several seconds to reload like with a Turret/Repeating weapon. Because of this, many people prefer the lower damage in exchange for the nearly no reloading time.

Re: Best Ranged Weapon?

I use a Homemade Master Blunderbuss with 4 Augments, It's pretty Epic.

Augments are: Flame (Or Fire) Gift, I'm not lucky, Lucky and Life, Lucky and Skill.

It does mad damage, gives gold, gives HP, and resists damage. I have a Master Hammer with the same except instead of Flame Gift it's Positive Charge.

Clockworks reload 4/5/6 bullets at a time. Whereas Turret you have to reload bullets one by one.

Re: Best Ranged Weapon?

I hardly use my gun, but my favorite is Hal's Rifle just because
I'm a Halo buff.
It also has ammo capacity of the same amount from Master Chiefs Assault Rifle.
Plus another thing I noticed it fires at a pretty high rate.
Does anyone know what class of gun it is?
or if it is in its own class?

Re: Best Ranged Weapon?

Started off with Flintlock pistol - fast and powerful, headshots made clearing paths real simple.

But since I got my paws on this legendary weapon, which is an enhanced Turret Rifle... I fell for it

Fine, you need to reload, and it can't do much on long range, but it blasts everything in close and mid. The sound of it firing is... fascinating. This baby could blast the jizzle out of a boulder!

Re: Best Ranged Weapon?

Flintlock weapons are good for damage and clockwork weapons are good for high ammunition capacity. Stay away from turret wepaons though since they reload far too slowly and don't inflict enough damage to make up for it. The Preferator however is a good exception to this; although it makes villagers really fear you.

Pistols are quick and easy to use with fast reload and RoF for close and medium-ranged combat. Rifles are handy at medium to long range situations. I don't find crossbows or blunderbusses as useful though. Blunderbusses in particular, don't deal enough damage to make up for the slow reload and the lack of ranged usage. Up close, I find that you're better off using pistols.

everyone has {their} own opinion

thus, a poll.

anyways. master flintlock rifle. for me, it's all about damage and range. highest damage, most range. firing speed is irrelevant, because things die in one shot. damage per second becomes less important than damage per shot.

Clockwork pistol (currently the red dragon)

Once you're able to perform headshots, i think it's best to just shoot enemies in the head as fast as you can, Reaver style, and it seems to work.
I still want to try the perfurator though
