Big rant (seriously, I dont think one post will cut it)

1. Granny:
My grandma is getting kicked out of the place she is staying at (my uncles place) so now she is going to stay with my family for a bit. :'(
Lemme break it down for you: she is a Jesus freak (there are three kinds of christians: Jesus freaks are the preachy fanatics. ill say the other two later)
she is crazy aswell!! She is sexist against women (Example) she has called the one I love dearly (hopeless romantic) a skank and that she will burn in hell. And she thinks my aunt is trying to poison her. She can not keep her nose out of everyones business (which is kinda normal for an old lady) she criticeses the way I act, dress and the music I listen to and even my friends! She has called all my friends drugees and that they all hate her .(that last part is VERY true) Need I go on? it is to the point I almost dont want to call her my grandma anymore, I hate her!!

2.Emos vs Goth:
What the hell is wrong with you guys? You make us goths look bad by calling yourselves our little brothers, and thats why to many people relate us with you! WTF is up with that?

Here are the similarities:
*Dark clothing

Differences:
*Ideals of Goth: celebration of your inner desires, dark aesthetics, vampirism, seduction, one of our " battle cries" is: "**** the mainstream!"
ideals of Emo (or lack there of): none
*Way they portray themselves:
Goth: dark evil people who look as though if you were to mess with them they would pull out a knife and/or place a curse on you
Emo: a wussy crybaby to if you mess with him will cry on you and/or cut himself and bleed on you
*Need i go on?

3.People who critisise things thy do not understand when they; well, dont understand it, I would type more but I dont feel liek it.

Wow, I would hate to have a grandma like that! And emos have just turned into anorexic kids that wear bright clothing like yellow jeans. And the dudes look like chicks and have the tightest pants you will ever find. And for some reason they think it is cool to be bisexual, when they really aren't.

I don't know too much about goths, there really isn't any where I live. It is all little emo kids that say life sucks. Well suck it up. And this probably doesn't have any relation to modern day goths, but Gothic architecture was very common in the old medieval times and such. Was it the Baroque period? I forgot. Anyways, it was the main style for churches with their flying buttresses and stuff. Well, off topic and not relating too much to what you said, at least goths appreciate life.

And your grandma is CRAZY. Tell her to take a chill pill or something. But those preachy Jesus freaky people are always so funny to watch. Does she sometimes shake a lot when she rants at you?

1. yeah pretty much...
2.yes majority of the goth style (some in america, but alot in europe) is victorian style, here in america they have this thing called BDSM clothing (yes it is kinda like the Sexual thing with the same name)

3. no she doesnt, she hacks and wheezes alot though it sounds bad but I cant wait for that bitch to just get hit by a car, and as she is on the ground dieing her bowels release and she drowns in her own blood and pee... she has ruined so many things in my life, anyway enough wallowing... I shall rant more tomorrow (I have to apply safety features to my PC so my granny doesnt go into it and delete my book cause she thinks it is satanic... I guess I should hide my floppy disk of it aswell...

Religion is without a doubt the trickist horse to ride or comment on. Even if the story is stolen doesnt it make the ideals worth following?

Elder Goths - they're the original Bauhaus' 1980 goths' that were mostly into disestablishment through intelligence. A spawn of the punk scene, Elder Goths believed in most of the same ideals: screw the man, lets have fun, etc - however they maintained a general open mindedness of humanity, others, specially people who were ironically different from society: gays, crazies, etc. A general belief was that they would eventually "grow out" of their dark demeanour, but it's been shown that a Goth will A) never admitt to being a "damn little gothic punk" and B) continue loving the dark arts, and place intelligence and understanding above other things

new Goths - grew up in the 90s; a lot more violent, and quiet a bit more anti-disestablishment. They saw the inaction of elder goths as weak mindedness and general lack of "true feelings." They were very passionate, however stood tight to the feelings of intelligence and understanding. Many are currently in their 20s' and various still maintain a strong appearance, while others have lowered their flags to try and make some money in the world.
I am more of a elder goth mixed with a little new...

Emo: besides the original use of it in the 1980s, which was the exact opposite as it is today - Emo kids think it stands short for "emotional"; however it's something MUCH different.

Look it up, I won't go much into it.

Anyway - Emo kids wear jeans and a black shirt - not the common all black wear of a Goth; and they don't do the entire industrial scene, which a Goth wouldn't mind. Emo kids wear jeans and a band shirt, have black hair, and unlike their cousins the Goths - they don't believe in disestablishment, instead, they don't give two flying screws about the Establishment of the poltiical or religious scene.

Instead, all they worry about is themselves. How the world affects them. How their parents are against them. How everyone is against them. Their dog is against them. Their girlfriend was obviously planning on breaking his heart the whole time.

The entire emo scene promotes self centerdness, and pitty, in attempts to gain attention and praise, support from others. Instead of the Goth/Punk scene that strode towards self accomplishments and self realization through the blood and sweat of the self.

Oh, and you'd never see an Emo kid doing a suspension or a crucification off of fish hooks for fun like some of the "extreme" industrial goths would. Instead, Emo hasn't had enough time to grow as a culture to allow for difference inside of itself, and an "extreme" Emo kid is basically one that puts a suicide note on myspace and goes through with killing himself. Maybe in 10 years time we will see the spawn of the Emo children, and have some variation to the blood, but as of right now it's a heavily influenced MTV scene that has not had any time to grab hold as a subculture in itself.

Anyway, they are cousins or nieces to the Goths - though not related to Elder Goths. While Goths lived through the 1990s' "Nirvana" and Teenage Angst time period, Emos are the direct spawns of the preppy children of those dates - feeling that they are constantly in the shadow of their older kin, and that the world is full of threat, death, etc

:wacko: I can't read all that, it's like one of those scientific documents explaining differences. Glad you took the time to point that out, I might finger through it later if I'm feeling up for some reading. And thanks for clearing up that confusion of goths to emos. And emos are just lifeless, boney sacs of wasted space. From what you explain, goths have interests. Just a different group of people, and different interests. Wait, I'm sorry, emos do do something. They cut themselves and say their life sucks. Forgot about that. Anyways, I guess you can't really assume things like this if you don't actually know it. Me, I am basing off what I see and have been explained to. I am not making any points that I say are true facts. But emos do seem to be the most useless type of people I have ever seen. And I can sense your anger a bit. What if some said gamers are the same as comic book nerds? I wouldn't be too happy! Again, I am glad you pointed some things out. 2. Nonconformists all conform, making them in one way or another alike, regardless of the name they go by.
3. Criticism is most likely met by those who don't understand, second most likely by those who do understand and object to whatever is being criticized.

I can critisise it because there is nothing to understand, I can only base these on the facts that I see in the media, my own experience as an emo what I have read and seen about emo and my ex-emo friends who told me about it, its an educated rant on things that I have learned about it... all they are is preps with darker clothing and they like self-mutilation...

1. Violent games?:
Violent video games should not receive the blame of societys problems. We have had police shootings, school shootings and violence in society before the coming of age for video games. Back when kids played Cops and Robbers was that game blamed for police officers deaths? No kids were handed cap and pellet guns and told to go have fun. Stop shifting the blame. Parents need to take responsibility instead of blaming video games, music, television and the internet. All things that are provided by the parents, The parents are the enablers here.

Those are the reasons for the so called times when a Person kills someone because they were playing a violent game. e.g. San Andreas..
