Like Final Fantasy they can keep changing the main character, locations, story etc and just use the Call Of Duty brand to sell them so essentially they can go forever.

Infinity Ward had talked about going towards that before most the team left. I mean it worked ok for Battlefield 2142 so if done right its possible.
