Bosses.

So many people have asked about lots of things concerning Fable 2. But what I am really pumped about is the bosses. Scratch the minions, i'mg oing straight tothe head honcho's :ninja:

One idea I had about a boss would be a pirate. Fable 1 had bandits, so Fable 2 should have alot of pirate themes and characters, it's just during that colonial age. Concerning the boss though. He/she should be a kingpin, the ruthless leader of the pirate empire that is thirsty for turning bowerstone, oakvale, andall the other humble cities into ash and rock. And he should also look feirce. Probably a split beard, with a torn up pirate hat and messy clothing. He should posess two sabers, and one nast revolver. He would be strict melee, but he could be range also. Like the bandit king, he should have allies with him when he's in need.

But here's where the idea gets a bit too off guard, the battle would be on a pirate ship...during the monsoon season. The ship is rocking, the deck hands are struggling to keep the ship on board while you're against the boss.

Now, why would you be against this boss? Probably to flush some information from him, or retrieve a valuable family item/treasure. Or maybe he killed someone you loved. (Remember Fable 1? Who's fault was it for your sister to go on the dark side?)

Also, another boss.

The kraken. But not at the seas. At an ancient ruin, somewhere that has beenonthsi earth for many ages. Dark sorcerers at the ruin revives the kraken to do their bidding, making it more powerful than ever.

And undead.

History comes alive, and as you battle the kraken..the area starts to break down. Debris fall fromthe ceiling, pillars swoosh on the marble floor. And inthe knick of time, when all hope was lost for you, a large stature of Avo falls on the Kraken, using its sheer weight to push it back into the depths. Avo would save you once again

But 'nough about my opinion, what kind of bosses would you like to see? And truthfully, I don't care if they're possible or not. I always like some creative viewpoints.

(Oh yea and moderators, I checked the search..didn't find a thread about this on the fable 2 forum specifically. So, that's the answer to your first question )

Re: Bosses.

Sandgoose.

A giant singing sword.

A guy with a huge afro, which gets out of control and starts attacking people.

Must I suggest any more uber pwnage bosses?

Re: Bosses.

Weirdly thats one thing that hadnt really crossed my mind to much, id thought a little about the end boss and maybe some bandit boss but hadnt really thought to much into it. Interesting ideas you have there and its made me start thinking about what could be possible.

Re: Bosses.

Marmite Monster.

Re: Bosses.

I wonder if the bosses will change based on alignment this time around as that was something i disliked about Fable, story and battles were to alike for both alignments.

Re: Bosses.

Well there were different boss battles in the end.

For Evil characters you had to fight your rival heroes remember?

Still not to much of a difference to warrant anymore replay value really.

Re: Bosses.

Yeah different paths would be good. That is another good thing about Dynasty Warriors!

Re: Bosses.

Yeah, but the big question is... Will evil characters have to kill bad bosses? THe heroes in the end of Fable were good, yes, but as Drakan said, it`s not the same.

Re: Bosses.

Well you will have to take out your competition...

The story should actually change depending on your decisions like they claimed it would.

Re: Bosses.

Yeah, like if you chose...

not to kill Whisper or your Sister,

...then they would return later in the game.

Re: Bosses.

Lets look deeper itno being evil concerining bosses. When the pirate king is limping on the ground during the battle, and you're clearly the upper hand, you might ask yourself,"Should I spare this truthfullypoor soul, or should I show his head for all to see in town...would killing this man be good even if the good uys tell me to do it.....or would it be evil if I didn't"

Questions like that. Also, maybe you really want to be evil. And say the boss is the head captain of the guard. You might think,"If I spare him, I will be arrested and possibly put in jail for quite some time...but if I kill him, I could rule this town...or maybe, something in the middle..he could do my bidding"

Something like that.

Re: Bosses.

There should also be a chance to kill JoB, the nastiest guy in the world, or your sister (just to have fun and be bad).

Yeah there needs to be A LOT more choice in the game and different variations and outcomes of certain situations depending on certain parameters.

Re: Bosses.

What do you mean Rotid?

Re: Bosses.

I have a feeling that somehow there will be dragon boss fights on more than one occasion in Fable 2, which isn't bad, I just hope they are more difficult to defeat.

I would enjoy an boss fight with a minotaur or perhaps centaurs. I always find that those particular creatures are difficult, but it depends on how they are portrayed.

I do agree that the Kraken would be good to see again. In Fable it was an easy boss fight, but I enjoyed it none-the-less. Heck, maybe you might **** off Poseidon, and you'd have to fight him, although there might not be a lot of mythology behind the game, still it would be funny to see.:P

Hmm..maybe a sphinx or a large phoenix....ok I should stop with the creatures, but most of the time that's what you fight, unless they are changing things! I would enjoy seeing any of these, but fighting a powerful magician might spice things up...maybe not one like the Guildmaster or Maze, though.

I do agree also with bosses being based on alignmient. I want to fight a really good guy if I'm evil and a bad guy if I'm good...I mean it does make more sense.

I would like to see a more smart, main boss then a powerful boss. I'm thorugh with JoB, I aint gonna lie. I always liked the idea of a boss being just so smart, that he doesn't need to do anything to recieve total power and war. and once you face him, he'll already be ready to fight.

Re: Bosses.

A minotaur would be cool, like the Berserkers in Gears of War.

A centaur would also be quite challenging. Perhaps a hard normal enemy?

Perhaps we will meet George and his Dragon.:)

Re: Bosses.

What I meant was that rather than killing the all-powerful hero (JoB was just an example, I don`t really like him that much), you could just kill someone good and be evil. And maybe even share a throne with someone, until you get tired of two-man government. Ofcourse, if the hero is your rival then it`s another issue, but.
