The world is such a sad place.
Now you may not give a single **** about this but, Awareness needs to be raised.
What did you do for Christmas 2008? Play with your nice little lego set that you got from Mummy? Well, no you probably played your new Xbox 360 game, but thats not the point. In northern Uganda, Africa (I've only heard about this, I'm not researching it *not exact accurate facts*) 600 people were slaughtered in a small village.
600 people may not be much, but how about this: The war that spawned this slaughter has been going on for about 20 years+. Ever heard of it? Probably not.
Again you may not give a ****. But tell your friends, tell them to watch something like Blood diamond, who knows? Your friend could be the next Martin Luther King Jr.
...

The reason why the sixties was such a progressive time was because we didn't have this apathetic, pessemistic bull****. The youth of the time managed to change the world, why can't we?

Well, your right I have never heard of it. But Im not really surprised to hear about it. Call me ignorant if you want but from what I know of africa is that its a really crappy and underdeveloped place.

But do I care about it? Well... not really, no. Its their war, let them deal with it. I dont feel like America (or any other country for that matter) should play babysitter to the rest of the world.

The world is a very ugly place, and humans are just as barberic as they were thousands of years ago. We like to think we have advanced because of out better technology, but at best we are no more then semi-civilized beasts, with baseball caps and automatic weapons. And when it comes to human suffering, Im compleatly apathetic. I admit Im a bit sick and perverted, but I have absolutly no simpathy for human beings whatsoever. Let them reap what theyve sown, the sooner we wipe outselves out the better.

War is what keeps out world going. I mean, what will we do once we realize we are all one and learn to love each other? What the hell will become of the arms industry? How will we keep building nuclear weapons? What would become of the military? Millions of people would be out of their jobs! It would **** up the economy!

So you see, war, violence, and hatered are the things that keep out barbaric society intact. We need it. Otherwise, what are we supposed to do, live together in harmony? pfft.

Because we don't want to. We're too afraid to lose. Most of us live in a comfy world. Remote conflicts in Uganda (along with Rwanda, Sudan), butchers like Kony, his LRA, and that idiot president Museveni do not concern us. (Too complicated to understand anyway.) So, we simply choose to ignore.

Well, I was reading all the posts and I was impressed, nearly convinced, and very grateful for everyones opinions.
But, well, you ruined it.
Since other countries were so racist in the older days like 19th century countries like Africa have been disadvantaged which, therefore they have no ability to help anyone.
To everyone who doesn't care, please just raise awareness, I'm not asking to dig into your pockets (and couches) to raise funds for Africa. Please, wheres your morality these days?

If aliens or something kills every, single, human, on earth...

This kind of defeatist, apathetic attitude is one of the reasons why we're in this predicament. "We can't change the world, why bother?" We let the more powerful entities push us around so they can look after themselves. If we didn't let them, they'd be nothing, and we'd be free to do what we want.

That "We can't change the world, why bother?" Attitude is not me at all.I believe in trying.If you don't try nothing happens, nothing changes.And where's the fun in that?
Perserverence is a major characteristic for me, trying once then giving up is absolutely ridiculous, and should be punished with a very hard punch to the face.

Speaking of racial race, we all started the same place 100.000 years ago, some invented gun powder, some invented ships.... Africa spent 99.700 years making crappy spears and inventing aids...

Africa is that sad 25 year old fat guy that lives in his mothers basement, watches Anime and thinks everyone in the world out to get him. Africa shouldn't have dropped out of highschool to get a job at chucky cheese

However Africa and Asia were the ones who traveled much faster than anyone else and got all the land (until the slower ones decided to kill them off) so their not really the fat 25 year old, more like the ****ing fast kenyans...

I was watching telly and I saw America got these new planes that don't have to be driven by people but controlled on a computer. So they are using them to continue their Bloodlust War in Iraq when they could pop them over to Africa, shoot one guy: Joseph Kony, then go back to their murdering innocents back in Middle East (no-one can stop that I think?)
