Homg charlie I thought you were cool!!! My parents are from there (more or less my dad is Jamaican but originally Jamaicans were once africans).
Anyway, I skim read this topic and here is my hasty reply.
Africa gave lots centuries ago. To Greece, Spain lots of countries that visited.
Africa was full of knowledge and wisdom. It is a large continent and the people did not go exploring like the Europeans with their boats.
Africa gave gold and knowledge in exchange for goods and also gave as gifts. But there came a time when Europeans decided to
ROB Africa and come with guns and start wars and slavery. Also the arabs came along and tried to enforce muslim belief. Egypt was under foreign rule many times thoughout its history by many different nations. South Africa was taken by the British etc.
You took diamonds from Sierra Leone, you took oil, you took gold and you built America with slave hands. England also grew rich. Now black people aren't good enough?
Also, is it any surprise that so many blacks are ignorant? The families of slaves were broken, white peope raped the women and beat the men and tehn they seperated the families. Its hard to know where you're going when you don't know you history or even your next of kin. Black people no doubt degenerated as a result and its been a difficult climb ever since. The same thing would have happened to any other nation that has been torn from its home land and abused in such a way.
Africa could not hold up to the European weaponary and so many were enslaved and taken to Jamaica and to America.
Now you say what has Africa got for you? Nothing because you already raped the land and left Africans with corruption, desease and famine. Any nation that is living in poverty will develop illnesses. The people don't even have much clean water. Think before you speak. Why is Africa the way it is now? You tell me.
Sorry if my post is a bit all over the place but that comment just upset me. Everything I am saying here is the truth. But I don't hold teh people alive today responsible. I just wish that people would see things for what they are and realise the cause and not just say rubbish.
