Cancer Cure - found

Hmmm....

If this is true it's sickening. ****ing money mongers.

But I don't think cancer can be cured, because there are so many different types of it.

Not sure if that is true, not sure if this is true either, but I remember about a year ago a guy's AIDS were cured through a year or two of stem cell therapy, and people just passed over it because stem cells are controversial.

I've read about previous "cures" and while they showed some promise, none seemed so powerful as this.

All cancers are essentially the same; they just happen in different parts of the body. Yes there are different types of treatment, but that usually just depends on the location and nature of the cancer (whether it's localized or dispersed). So with the same broken part at the heart of all the problems, addressing that (which this dichloroacetate seems to do) makes it go away. Neat stuff!

In any case, if I develop something in another 40 years this will be the first thing I ask for. Unless there's something better by then, of course ;).

So, is it actually a definitive cure? And why exactly has it been ignored?

The link was tl;dr :/

EDIT: Ninja'd. Tyloric you ninja-ing little b**tard...

I'm sorry, but does anyone else remember the plot of 'I Am Legend' and what caused the mutation or whatever.

Yep. A cancer cure.

Baseball bats at the ready gents.

EDIT: So after reading what other members have said, turns out it's not a real cancer cure. I'll admit I'm disappointed. Not only because cancer is not cured but also now I can't swot the heads off zombies. Ah well.

They were Vampires, not Zombies :3
You are thinking of I am Omega.

Ah, yes. Quite right. I do apologise.

And, no I just forgot, I haven't actually seen 'I am Omega'.

Really? I really liked it. Of course, I haven't read the book or seen I am Omega, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but on it's own merits I thought it was really good.

The ending was pretty weak though.

The two were so wildly different it wasn't even right to call the movie I Am Legend. I've read fan fiction with more coherency than that movie.

The cut ending was far superiour and a bit more true to the book, but not by much.
