This surprised me greatly as well, I too was looking for a buy sign... walked happily into the house with a big smile on my face, which promptly vanished as it turned into a skeletal tomb. I grabbed the chest then ran for the safe, drunken embrace of Bloodstone (I'd rather deal with unattractive hookers than haunted houses anyday).

There is a fun little glitch with this house: Once you exit the demon door, go back inside. The house and all it's contents have vanished, but the chest (and a few skeletons) are still floating in the air.

Just thought I'd point that out.
