agreed, its fair, and encourages the play to attempt the achievements for sure, but i would have at least like the fable 2 achievements to be involved in some way with the weapon morphing

There's no need to involve them too. Fable II is an older game, two years have passed, most of the people have unlocked all the achievements. Therefore the game wouldn't reward something good.

Believe me, there will be a lot of easy achievements and medium achievements that can be earned quickly in order to make your weapon look good. There's nothing to worry about.

Re: CUSTOMIZATION!!!!!!!!

yah it be fun 2 make ur own sword guns ect change da way u want and use it da way u want and trade it over xbl is going 2 be fun

Re: CUSTOMIZATION!!!!!!!!

^ firstly, try to use correct wording and grammar.

secondly, i am glad that it is not done by your overall gamerscore because i do not have xbl meaning i can sometimes only get about half the achievments on some games, But i feel that having it based on your fable 3 gamerscore restricts it a bit to much.

That's not a restriction. It tells you that if you want to have a better reward for your efforts in-game, you can go ahead and get into it, unclock achievements in order to have a better weapon (that you can trade it online too).

When you have a better weapon you can show it off or trade it for even more gold. That gives you a feeling of achievement, that it was worth getting deeper and deeper into the game.

I'll say it again, because I just love repeating myself (not) - A different gamerscore means a different weapon. A higher gamerscore doesn't mean a better weapon, just a different weapon. A lower gamerscore doesn't mean a worse weapon, just a different weapon.

And if I have to draw a picture, it will only be a drawing of me strangling someone.

I know, I might be the next victim. However a different weapon could mean a better weapon automatically. I mean, someone unlocks all the achievements of the game they are rewarded with a different but better weapon.

However, technically it is a different weapon. For the players it will appear as a better weapon with a different look.

Re: CUSTOMIZATION!!!!!!!!

But then it's a matter of opinion. Say I'm RPing in my Fable game, and I want to be a vagabond rogue akin to a bandit. I'm not gonna go out and buy a master Katana, because it doesn't fit with my character, in that respect a rusty longsword would be better suited. It looks worse by conventional judgements but for that character it's perfect. I doubt they'll seed the weapon based on 'quality' of the weapon (ie like Fable 2's hierarchy of weapons but rather have similar materials etc. for the seeds. I reckon the base weapons will therefore be rather unoriginal and boring, which is why Lionhead have implemented a larger weapon morphing system.

I understand what do you mean. However in order to have a rusty, ugly weapon that fits with certain roles in Fable III will mean to never use that weapon.

Because when you will use a weapon, after the first few kills it will already start morphing. (I have noticed that to the various E3 Demo shows)

Well, I'm guessing the morphs will be inclusive to all forms of character development, so evil characters (ie ones that pillage and do typical bad lad stuff) could have a rusty, uglier sword than a virtuous knight etc. At least that's the impression I'm getting from the weapon morphs.

I think that evil characters will go towards something like the Sword of Aeons, dark shadowy swords from a demon-dimension. That's what I think, by thinking about how evil characters will look in Fable III.

I mean, imagine the Fable II horns, the Fable III wings. Someone took some V.

True, but that's not necessarily the only character morph. I'm *hoping* guessing that there will be more than one character morph depending on how you play the game. Granted, it won't happen, but...

We'll see on the release of Fable III. Peter Molyneux said there are things that haven't been mentioned so far in the interviews and such, they don't want to spoil. (the truth is that it is just one of the many Microsoft related policies about marketing)

Re: CUSTOMIZATION!!!!!!!!

Well I doubt they would hide the fact they've increased the level of character morphing, I suspect the unreleased new features are different, but as you said, only time will tell.

Re: CUSTOMIZATION!!!!!!!!

and for us PC players that have no gamerscore at all, and will most likely have a crappy looking sword (because i fight with magicks mostly if there is still the force push option.)

Re: CUSTOMIZATION!!!!!!!!

Personally, I believe that if you are going to have constantly morphing objects or character models in a game, the player should have the option of freezing a morph whenever they wish. As an example, let's say that someone wants their character to be a demon who reformed and now fights on the side of good. They would make themselves as evil as possible, sprouting wings, horns, evil eyes, intimidating weaponry, etc. Then, with the press of a button, they lock their character and weaponry appearance, preventing any more morphing from taking place until it is enabled again. That way, a player is free to tailor their character and weapon to their liking, then play the game as they wish without the fear of suddenly looking nothing like their original vision.

Re: CUSTOMIZATION!!!!!!!!

though i agree with your idea, i doubt that it would come through in the final game, more than likely you will not stop morphing making it another dilemma. (should i continue to hold back on killing these civilians because i don't want to lose my halo or should i keep killing civilians because i want to be a demon but if i keep doing nice things i might lose my awesome morphs....) this would be extremely helpful when using/making weapons.

Re: CUSTOMIZATION!!!!!!!!

The morphing and costomization of the weapons looks awesome, but the thing about the fable games that has always been my main draw in is the morphing and costomization of the player character.
Lion Head improved on what kind of things morphed your character in Fable 2, like adding the corrupt/pure spectrum and making skill make your character taller, but I want to see things like poverty vs wealth and expressions the player uses determin the kind of hero you turn out. If Lion Head adds more details like that to determin a player characters appearance, then just imagine the unique and personalized heroes we would be seeing.
