I hated that part too. All I can suggest is sitting very, very close to the TV/Monitor so you can spot the meteors as soon as they spawn - there is no range limit to the gun so you can eliminate them early.

Just beat it, after 2 hours of work... XD, now to beat it, I have it from the library, so it is good XD

Are you kidding me?! I survived that with 70% shields left, and got the "Don't get ****y, kid" achievement.
I had all the achievements except for One Gun and Epic Tier 3 Engineer, I was a few levels away from getting One Gun but my Xbox broke
and now I don't have my account, so blah.!!
But back on topic, this part is so easy, just aim for the center of the comets.

There's an achievement for clearing it with like 70% or something Hull Integrity. Have fun with that! I can just barely survive the damn thing...

Mine has Dead Space, C&C 3, GoW 2 and CoD 4 this month, every few months it seems they have a new selction, PLENTY of PC games, but I don't trust those discs (Last one was sticky... Eeew...)
