Its saying something when one of my favourite reveals at the Xbox & Bethesda showcase was a sequel in a series I havent really played properly and last had a full title released back in 2012.

Personally I thought Diablo IV looked great, both from a visual standpoint and the sheer breadth of the systems it boasts. It will be the most accessible Diablo game to date with Cross Play, Cross Progression & Couch Co-op as well as launching on PC, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4.

I made a video on this game and it has the most views on my channel. I'm really looking forward to the grind and getting good will be rewarding. Might dig deep in my pockets for this one if it's worth spending the time in. Games die pretty quick these days so I'll just have to see. We have the best MMO's in history out now and they all died off pretty quickly.

Its looking like it could be a great addition to the franchise and if it sticks the landing on release then it could go on to have a decent sized playerbase.

beta 17-19th, open beta march 24-26. I think I'll be able to solo most of this game with the necromancer. Pet summoning and exploding corpses! Leveling and crafting will be extensive

Looking forward to reading peoples impressions and their thoughts on the Beta. It’s a game I’m going to be keeping a close eye on as I’m always on the lookout for good co-op games that can also be played solo.

45 gigs isn't too crazy for game release these days. I was expecting in the range or 60 or more.

I tried the demo for this and I was impressed. I love the addition of making our own characters.

Think I’m going to pick it up, will be my first step into Diablo properly. Heard really good things about the franchise over the years and the overall impressions from the Beta have been really positive.

I've only played Diablo III myself but definitely enjoyed it. I believe there was a lot of controvery with the Diablo II Remake but hopefully they've learned their lesson from that one.

Diablo 4: Blizzard Is Making a Ton of Changes Based on Player Feedback

Blizzard have recently revealed that it is making a decent amount of changes to Diablo IV based on information gathered over its 2 Beta tests recently. Amongst these changes are the following:

Dungeon Changes
  • Dungeon Layouts
  • Dungeon Backtracking minimised
  • More frequent Dungeon Events
  • Removing the wait time when depositing an Animus
  • Increasing movement speed when carrying Ancient Statues and equivalent items
  • Adding a mini-map ping to newly open doors
  • Increased the chance for a dungeon event to occur in Cellars
  • Consistently reward players with a chest upon completion
Class Changes
  • The Barbarian has received a passive 10% damage reduction, its Whirlwind skill now deals more damage and costs more Fury, and the Double Swing enhancement refunds its full Firy cost when used on Stunned or Knocked Down enemies.
  • The Druid's Companion skills will now deal heavily increased damage, all Ultimate skills have had their cooldowns reduced, the usability of Maul and Pulverize has been improved, and using a non-Shapeshifting skill will now transform a Druid back to their human form.
  • The Necromancer's summoned minions will die more often, meaning players will need to utilize corpses more often. Meanwhile, many Book of the Dead stat bonuses have been increased, the Corpse Explosion skill has had its damage reduced, and the brightness of Skeletal Warriors and Mages has been lowered.
  • The Rogue's Subterfuge skill have had their bonuses increased alongside multiple passive skills, while all Imbuement skills have had their cooldowns increased.

Looks cool. Am excited to try it at launch. Interested to see how the game's future pans out with Blizzard's future either as a solo company or as a Microsoft subsidiary. Their future is super duper uncertain and they are drowning in lawsuits from Net Ease, their provider in China, to all the workplace misconduct. Who the parent company is could heavily influence how monetized the online aspects of the game are.

Demo was alright, I was a bit disappointed with the skill tree, but we didn't get to see every customization option of the full release. Played rogue. Not picking it up myself, because I don't want another game to grind, but seemed pretty solid overall.

Might try the server slam if I can get past the inevitable queues in the time I have to play. I have managed to get it installed on my Steam Deck through some workarounds so be interested to see how it runs on there.

So I did give it a try last night and there were no queues, no issues and everything ran really well. Controls were great and that opening cutscene is incredible, I ended up playing for 6 hours straight and really enjoyed it.
