Different kingdoms?

Since Fable 2 is taking place 500 years after Fable 1. That'd make the time frame around the 1600's. (Since there are firearms)

Also, it's on a bigger chunk of the world. Prolly a large part of europe and maybe some of russia. That means that there might be different kingdoms and alliances you can have. Because in that time there was the tsardom of moscow, the ottoman empire, and the byzantine empire.

I think that'd be awesome. You might even have different types of will powers, clothing, and weapons.

Think about it!

Re: Different kingdoms?

That does sound awesome! but... Albion is on a different planet... so not urope or russia

Re: Different kingdoms?

Well, it is based on the UK, and the Northern wastes is based off Iceland, so...

Just putting that out there.

An interesting theory and id like to see some other kingdoms and plenty of places to travel to, even off shore etc and far away places.

I just noticed this +rep (but it is on another planet)

Re: Different kingdoms?

Yeah it is a different history thing. But it'd be awesome. A huge war perhaps?

Re: Different kingdoms?

I guess this also means you can change your skin color!

Don't forget the "Albion Sucks" graffiti on the train line from Birmingham to Rugeley...

I would like to see different kingdoms too - different races and maybe even a different language? Could be part of a quest maybe...I dunno....

Re: Different kingdoms?

Well, Whisper and Thunder most definitely had to come from somewhere else...

I think he merely meant that it is not set in actual Great Britain... it may be based on it, but it is certainly not based on historical events, nor is it an accurate portrayal of the period... it is a world based on ours, but not ours... making it a different world or planet, if you will...

Yeah guess thats the best way it could be put, yeah Albion is an ancient word used for Britain and yeah Hex has put it well by saying that it is a world based on ours but also not ours... crazy way to put it but makes sense the more i think about it. Albion was inspired by Britain but obviously the events in the game arent based on factual events so anything would be possible to include. So in a way i agree with both theories...

Re: Different kingdoms?

Oh right.. Planet is a bit too extreme a word if you ask me. Dimension is the word I would use.

I wouldnt even go as far as to say either, more like 'World' apart i guess... hard to describe really.

well, dimension sounds even more extreme... it makes it sound like some sort of sci-fi parallel... planet and world just both mean the same thing...
but regardless of what you refer to it as, the point is just that it's a game, not a history textbook... so to compare it to our own world is strange at best...

Re: Different kingdoms?

But it makes you think, what if they just didn't record s*** like this in history textbooks? :O :P
