Re: Different kingdoms?

I think "different world" would be the perfect way to put it. Not too sci-fi....

But it makes you think, what if they just didn't record s*** like this in history textbooks? :O :P

I don't believe it's ever made me think that at all... I'm sure someone would have noticed people fighting trolls and getting people drunk on 2 beers... that's the kind of thing you don't forget... :noexpression:

Re: Different kingdoms?

Well I haven't really thought about it... trying to make people think I guess.

Re: Different kingdoms?

Well, people used to just tell people stuff.

You don't need to make people think. I think it's impossible to not make someone think when you say something to them. Unless they're in a coma or such. (Wow, this makes me think! :P)

Anyway, one part of me thinks it's not possible since the map will be utterly huge, since Abion is susposed to look like wales, and northern europe with part of russia and the middle east is a lot bigger than wales... >.>

But then again they exaggerated Iceland and Ireland to be that small.

Re: Different kingdoms?

Isn't the map in the game meant to be the map of Britain upside down? (Or was that the Final Fantasy 8 map..) *Forget*

Re: Different kingdoms?

This is albion: Link

This is the UK: Link

It also makes sense since you can walk on foot through albion in a short period of time.

Re: Different kingdoms?

From the looks of things, I holidayed in Twinblade's camp last June....

Well, apart from the locals, it is supposed to be a very familiy-friendly vacation spot.

Re: Different kingdoms?

Indeed...it seems like only yesterday the kid was wielding her first ever katana with a bandit bandana on her head...

Re: Different kingdoms?

Wow, I wanna go to Knothole glade!

Re: Different kingdoms?

Well since ireland is split into two, I dunno which part is wich. >.>

Re: Different kingdoms?

All theories are valid and interesting but does it really matter whether the albion in fable and the albion in the U.K. are similar in anyway. just a thought

Due to the fact that it could include more of the continent, yes it does matter.

Also, I just noticed this, but if there's multiplayer, you could have quests having to do with fighting for an empire against another.

Re: Different kingdoms?

I hope Fable 2 has a crusadeish kingdom, assuming if they have diffrent kingdom that is.

Re: Different kingdoms?

Hence my byzantine vs. ottoman ramblings.

That's what I was thinking. If it was the UK then you would be a giant. Not many could go for a jog across a CONTENANT!! What a Hero!!!

Re: Different kingdoms?

The overall concept of different kingdoms is fascinating to me (getting back on subject here), because of all the options that could be implimented. Honestly, the ability to have wars as stated before, would be beyond awesome! Can you just picture a LOTR style army facing the Northern fortresses of some strange land while you run around and face the tides of a whole battlefront with your men at your side? Believe it- it's Fable 2.

Re: Different kingdoms?

I'd love to be able to ride a camel

Re: Different kingdoms?

What if somewhere you could buy beasts as companions instead of having to have just a dog and that's it. I'd buy a balverine.
