Double Post Automerge?

I swear to god we used to have this because it used to nail me when I accidentally made a double post. Which I liked a lot. But whatever happened to it? Sure it can be annoying when you are updating news or something and you have to double post to avoid creating a new thread while still gaining attention, but it was still a cool little feature.

Just wanna know what happened to it.

i admit i like the idea, but there's a wonderful edit button that people should always use

maybe, just maybe, it would be nice if you have the last post and try to reply, you could get redirected to an edit page.

but i don't think we really need either, they would just be nice additions ^_^

Hmmm... Would there be away to make Bards be able to bypass this? Since they are really the only ones who would need to.

I disabled almost all vB mods a few months back in sort of an optimization-frenzy type fashion. The Auto-Merge mod was actually one of my favourites and I would have preferred it to have stuck around permanently but, well, it wouldn't have worked with vBulletin 4.0 anyway.

Template mods are cool - basically the Gamertags and Steam ID widgets which we're using - because they pretty much consist of a single line of code. There's only two mods in use on this forum: one is vBSEO and the other is a nice simple one which I built myself.

I had something else I wanted to say but I've completely forgotten now. I'll just close with: vBulletin has gotten rubbish and Invision Power Board is becoming more and more appealing every time I check on the status of vB 4.0... /rant
