Dreadlocks!

Heeeeey guys, I decided to get dreads! And I would to share you my progress of them! I am doing them myself, with help from a friend of mine!

Heres some photos so far.

Dreadlocks are amazing. I dont think i could pull off dreads, but I find them awesome depending on who is wearing them. looks great man!

Well, it's true. The ultimate power of dreadlocks can never be beaten. Though mohawks are rather fly.>_>

I love dreads, can't have them, mum won't allow them, on top of that I don't know how well an employer would like dreads, and I suppose they are pretty itchy and dirty.

EDIT: I love Dreads, I just wouldn't get one because of the possible discrimination.

^ Yes I know.. But thats the thing. Im not, it just goes to prove it, That you can look totally different to what people expect you to be.. Like me I suppose haha. But then again there are some parts of me that are kind of predictable.. Like irresistably good looking.

I had dreadlocks for a few years, and let me share with you some knowledge I gained:

1. Wash them thoroughly. And not only wash them, but rinse them thoroughly as well. Make sure when you leave the shower, that there is nothing except water in your dreads, and then dry them thoroughly with a hair dryer, otherwise you're gonna have a bad time.

2. Try to get into the habit of twisting them up all the time. Grab the end of one and poke it out from in between your two fingers and with the other hand, rub it gently in a circle against your first hand. Do that with the middle, but have the dreadlock going through the fingers of both hands. And do it with the base against your head. The trick is to do it gently, otherwise you'll break the hairs, and you're gonna have a bad time.

3. If you put anything like beeswax or whatever in them when you started, to try and hold them together, them make sure it comes out. I never did that (partly because mine were really thick, and getting wax out of the middle of them was basically impossible). Made them really dirty, and not cool, and I had a bad time.

Was them? Reeeeeally? I tie my hair up, so it doesnt get wet, I ash my hair in the sea, because the salt water tangles them up and all that.

But the thing you must know about me is that, I dont care about my hygiene.. like at all. I dont smell bad or look dirty all the time, I just dont really care. I havent washed my hair with shampoo or conditioner for over a year! Hahaha..

h I put beeswax in, but I didnt get it out? So now what?

You're gonna have to wash the **** out of it to get the beeswax out. Trust me, nothing beats a natural tangling. Plus, if you're doing the salt water thing you wont really need it.

So I HAVE to get to the beeswax out? Or can I leave it and let it gradually sort of just come out?

Yeah I put mud in my hair, sand, dust, all of it really haha, Im guna super glue the tips of my dreads because they're real loose, and I cant tangle them up n dread'em..
