Bag Pipes are cool
It reminds me of a joke by Bill Kirchenbauer
I'm not sure if I want to have my hero to be playing music sounds a little Zelda/Guitar Hero. If they can pull it of with out making it a mini game maybe and expression that changes depending on which instrument you equip. Still sounds iffy

Bagpipes....*shudder*... they ruined my childhood...maybe not a musical instrument, but you could enter some kind of Albion Idol and compete with other Bards from around the land for some kinda prize?

What about a job carting people from town to town in a horse and carriage. It could lead to some interesting side quests/choices.

What about a job carting people from town to town in a horse and carriage. It could lead to some interesting side quests/choices.
- Take them to there destination the long route ensuring their safety but losing your fair because it took you so long +:angel:
- Take the the normal route but have to fight off bandits and one of them always gets hurt. neutral :yawn:
- Deliver them to the bandits for a larger fee than you would otherwise get. + :devil:

That's a very good idea +rep for that. You could also be the one who gets paid to cart off dead people after fights, wars, plagues and the like...
p.s. I'm currently watching American Idol so that sounds like a good set of characterisations there - although the Barman at Snowspire (or is it Hook Coast?) has the more physical appearance of Randy...

Someone said Judge, that gave me an idea... Maybe they'll have a legal system that you can climb the ranks in, but rather than just be given a new title you have to apply for the new job and then based off a resume the 'higher ups' will give you an answer. Start off as a city guard, beat cop sorta thing, to the lawyer, judge, supreme court/justice and make new laws etc.. Maybe the game has you start off in a new part of the career and you deal with minor crimes like petty theft, then as you gain experience in each new job you start to deal with more serious crimes.
Bah probably it probably won't be that detailed, probably just a pipe dream or the ramblings of a madman.....:wacko:

Execution for sure - they had it in Fable The Lost Chapters, but you never actually saw a hanging, just a quest or two about rescuing convicts and Thunder saying he'll meet you there to kick you all over the shop...maybe they'll make it a crowd event that you can use to your advantage as a pick pocket or something...

Yeah but only if your good enough other wise you would be making laws like "Killing allowed by me with no fine" or "Taxes raised to 50000000 and sent to me" orfor holidays "Me Kill you day!"
