Fable 2 keeps crashing ???

im playing on xbox series x and i just started a new game as its my first time playing fable 2, and the first time I played it crashed on the traders(?) cutscene right at the beginning, then I just played it again and it crashed while I was just running around…

is this just a normal occurrence or is it something perhaps on my side making it crash?? :,)

Someone else asked about the same thing a while ago. Seems to be an issue with the newer consoles. Some have suggested playing the game with your console set to offline.

i ended up changing it to appear offline and changed in settings to enhance performance over graphics (which I never knew I could do) and its not crashed yet

Mate Fable 2 is a bug ridden mess.

Apparently it is only something that has occurred to the game in the last couple of months according to people who have played it. Even playing the disc version on Xbox One or Xbox Series wont help.

When I played the game a few weeks ago I was taking to saving after everything I did so I wouldn't lose everything. I was barely going 30 seconds to a minute between saves.

At times I was only getting upto 5 minutes before the game froze where as other times I could play for ages without it freezing. There was one stage where I didn't switch my Xbox One S off for over 1 1/2 days as the game was running fine.

Oh and just to point out going offline or playing online makes no difference the game will still freeze. I was doing every trick I could think off, playing online, playing offline and reseting my cache but it made no difference the game would still freeze.

I think I set a record for game freezing. I put my Xbox One S on, loaded up the game and I had barely moved my girl 3 steps and it froze.
