Fable II consequences in Fable III?

So, how much do you think your save game from Fable II will affect your Fable III game-play and its story? The only thing we know for sure is, as far as I know, that you will in Fable III play as the son or daughter of one of your Fable II characters; but will that really be all?

For one thing, at the end of Fable II you can make one of three choices, can these alter the world as you see it in any way in Fable III? As discussed in the thread "Rose," maybe your sister from the previous game will make a minor (or a major, although I doubt it) appearance as your aunt for a side-quest or possibly the intro/prologue to the game. If you, however, chose one of the other options, will you inherit money from your father/mother (the need of the one) or will there be more population since you decided to revive them (the need of the many)? OK, the last one is not very likely, but how about the other theories?

Also, assuming you married someone in Fable II, will she be your mother/father in Fable III or will your father/mother have divorced her/him - or maybe she will be ignored altogether? If you had kids in Fable II, will they become your older siblings in Fable III or ignored with their mother/father?

Will being good or bad in Fable II affect your parent-child relationship in any way - especially if you decide to be good with a bad father/mother or vice versa?

Any other theories? Like what will happen with places like Old Town in Bowerstone and Bloodstone if you even get to visit those places (you should be able to since your kingdom is Albion, unless you're going to rule it from another continent/country (that is, Aurora)...) and what about all the buildings and homes you may have decided to buy in Fable II; especially major plot buildings like Castle Fairfax and Garth's tower?

If there is already a post like this sorry, but I couldn't find it. :O

EDIT: These are not my questions, but topics I thought would be interesting to discuss.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

Honestly I think that ONLY the final choice you made e.g. needs of the few, one and many. will effect how your MC from Fable II is perceived in the 3rd installment and how people act towards your MC aswell in Fable III.

It may effect how Bowerstone looks, whether it is a run down crappy city or something a whole lot better.

I hear your children can remind you and/or nag you of certain things your spouse does or doesn't wish you to do. You should check out Daemon's new thread: The Touch System

It has been stated that only 3 areas of Albion will feature in Fable III :( , which are Bowerstone, Bower Lake and Fairfax Castle. But I do hear that these ares are significantly Larger than their Fable II counterparts. We don't know how many areas there are in Aurora or if Aurora will be the only other continent in the game.

It may have been a word slip that happened during the interview, as Devs have already confirmed only 3 regions would be appearing in Fable 3 from the last game. Those being The castle, Bowerstone and Bower Lake

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

I'm hoping there'll be a nice bit of Fable II reference, especially if you get to meet people you parent once helped. As for the only three regions thing, I'm holding my hopes that they mean only three RETURNING regions and that there'll be a lot more Albion to explore.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

i think that all the changes youve made like helping arfur destroying the temple and the final choice will influence fable III but it wont affect EVERYTHING that happens or the areas that much

When I saw that, I almost killed my computer, but then I read the article, and it says 'so far, only 3 areas have been confirmed from fable 2.'

There were only a couple regions from Fable 1 in Fable 2, I reckon we'll have new regions.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

As far as consequences go, I can't really speculate because there are too many variables to factor in.

However, as far as the regions go, I'm thinking that in the fifty years that have passed, traders should have carved a path through Wraithmarsh by now, basically returning Darkwood's trade routes. Although, part of Brightwood covers most of where Darkwood and Greatwood were, and if Brightwood's not going to be there in Fable III, chances are that the southern part of Albion has been completely washed away or engulfed by the marshes. Aurora could be the only habitable, profitable land left, next to Samarkand. I hope Samarkand is there, too.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

PM said it would only be minor changes.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

Minor changes such as simple expansion? If that's the case, then I really can't hope for much. I'd still love to see some old trade routes open up again, though.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

I can't really see the game changing massively just due to the decisions made in F2.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

I don't think there will be many geographical changes, it's only been 50 years after all.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

Remember, take anything PM says with a pinch of salt.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

what about if you didn't play fable 2? will you dad/mother be neutral ?

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

the mention of there only being 3 regions in Albion that we can visit is misleading, I think. It might mean that there's only 3 regions that we have seen in previous games (Oakvale, Bowerstone, the Hero's Guild) but could include totally new regions that were previously unnamed or have been renamed-- sort of like how Darkwood in Fable seemingly became Brightwood in Fable II.

I'm not exactly psyched to go see Twilightwood, though.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

We could probably expect, with or without PM's confirmation,

Bowerstone

Some form of Oakvale/Bloodstone (as Reaver is returning, he'll need to fulfill his duty to the Shadows)

And Bower Lake considering its significance for the heroes.

I'd like to see what happened to the Temples of Light and Shadow though...

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

I would hope that there are some large changes to Albion based on your choices in Fable II, it would make all games unique. I think that we will be seeing more than just three returning areas of Albion, it wouldn't make much sense to call it Albion in Fable II if its completely different in Fable III.

Re: Fable II consequences in Fable III?

Lol i do hope its not a HUGE change on how you played as i was a on off evil/good guy.
