Fable II Game of the Year Editon

Not sure if this has been posted but..

Eurogamer reports that Fable II: Game of the Year Edition has been confirmed by Microsoft. Furthermore, the site notes that the title will release in Europe on September 18 for €64.99/£39.99. Doing a little digging of our own, we uncovered the box art for the game (pictured above), which gives us some idea of what to expect in the package. According to the box, purchasers will receive: "More Quests! More Locations! More Choices!"

If previous retail listings for the title are to be believed, all that "more" will be comprised of both the Knothole Island and See the Future DLC packs. So far, the Game of the Year Edition has only been confirmed for Europe, but we've contacted Microsoft for confirmation and details regarding a North American release.

Anyone else getting this on Day one? Hopefully we might see a PC version next.

It better be new locations and quests and not just be the expansion packs on a disc, Also will Lionhead scrap the episodic Fable II and turn episode one into a demo. This and the episodic chapters seem pointless and they will lose money.

i probably wont get it day one, it all depends on whats in it. i hope itll have more dlc or a tlc version of fable 2. that would be sweet.

I saw a Gamestop selling a Collectors Edition just a few weeks ago.

Hmm well I live in Denmark and I had a Collectors Edition reserved, but they didn't have any left the day I got there so I had to get the normal version - no way I was gonna wait, hehe

Ok to establish a fact with all GOTY editions. They always have the expansions. They did it with morrowind and oblivion and Fable II won't be different. I will be getting that rather than getting the DLC.

Yeah but people were wondering if there was any new expansions.

It's fairly obvious a GOTY is gonna have an expansion of some sort...what would be the point of it if it didn't?

From everything I have been able to find it is only the origional game and the two DLC's that are already available. No point in buying it if you already have all of that.

Oblivion Game of the year didn't include any new stuff. It is mainly for the benefit of people who haven't bought the game yet or for whatever reason can't get it online.

By expansion I meant expansion on the original....meaning See the future and Knothole.

plus more locations and quests added on to the DLC.. meaning they aren't apart of the DLC quests.

When they announced Oblivion Game of The Year Edition, they also said new areas, new quests and etc. But was it really? No it's just Oblivion with some DLC's shoved in it. I'm guessing that Fable2 Game of The Year Edition is going to be:

Fable 2 + Collectors Edition + Both Downloadable Contents = Slap a Game of The Year at the end.

The box art looks much better compaired to the Limited Edition. I might get it, provided I can get another 1350 achievments from it. :sly:

I sure as hell hope for lionhead that I can get the extra content as a DLC
