Fable or Fable 2?

I'm guessing that this was probably made sometime before, as being such an epic question, and I am sorry if it is. Close/delete/obliterate/eat this thread if it is already around somewhere and I happened to miss it. So the epic question:

Fable or Fable 2?

I'd say Fable 2. It's like an upgrade to Fable. The combat is way easier and more fun compared to Fable. The graphics is better and the nature more beautiful. It's also longer especially with the new DLC soon being released. I still like Fable but Fable 2 is better. Another reason why I think Fable 2 is better is because the cities feel more like cities than really small villages. The reason to the cities feeling like cities is the buildings which looks more like houses than treehouses as they did in Fable.

Lucien is five times more interesting character than Jack of Blades. Both of the stories is about a man trying to control the world. But still Fables storyline is better since it involves more family members you care about than Fable 2. In Fable 2 you only got your sister and she doesn't really play a big roll while in Fable you got your mom, your father, your sister, the guildmaster. The only character I cared about is my dog (if he can be called a character) and Hammer.

So it's the storyline vs graphics, combat system, DLC

Fable 2: 8
Fable: 6.7
The result: I like Fable 2 better

But Fable has a certain charm Fable 2 or no other game has.
And Fable is more appealing to play a second time.

Can't you tell us why you like Fable more than Fable 2?

Totally forgot, my bad.

I like Fable more because I personally thought the combat system was much better, along with the storyline and character, there was much cooler weapons, and what happened with the armour in Fable 2? Why isn't there any? It felt like I was playing in old England, and I preferred the little cities. Suited the game perfectly. Fable 2's combat was too intermixed. It was hard to be good at one thing and bad at another, and the clothing options were very limited. It was hard to feel attached to you family, and even my dog was always left behind and wasn't well cared for. You could probaly beat the game in about and hour if you wanted to too. I felt that it was a step down from Fable. The music was also much better. And Jack of Blades was very interesting, you always wanted to know where he was fun. And I liked to read the books about him in the game. :lol:

Fable to me is a 9.5/10
Fable 2 to me is a 7/10

So go Fable!

Fable is a 9.2/10 on my list (only things suceeding it are Halo Half-Life 2 and Warcraft 3)
Fable 2 is a 7.8/10 it was good, but I returned it the day I rented it...

I really disagree with the combat system. The combat on the PC sucked!

Fable 2 just like it very much and it looks great just friggin awesome
and ppl do say it is a short game but actaully because we have xbox marketplace i think there will come mucho expansion on the game i know fersure

Fable 2 modding is on the way, hopefully, not too much support. And I just watch and try to learn.

Wish I could say, but I havn't played Fable 2 yet.
Have to wait for PC.

As for modding Fable 2; the real work will start when it's released to pc aswell.
Modding the xbox 360 is harder then the original xbox was. Hence the slow process.

Yeah, console modding involves things more on the expensive side, like a 360, some sort of SATA USB adapter, and some other stuff. Sort of a pain. :lol:

the new DLC for fable helped a lot but fable 1 had better atmosphere and likeable/memorable characters, also all the legendary weps kicked ass

Well for me it was Fable.. It was Just so Extrodinary! Fable II was Awesome aswell But Fable Gave you that Feeling.. That Warm ooey gooy feeling.. Hahah.

Idunno.. Just seemed better to me.. And it was the First One so!

Fable : 10/10
Fable II : 8/10

fable 2 hands down. the combat system is very well done and i really like how they made each experience correspond to the controller button the combat style goes with. They smoothed out the clothing so that not everyone is wearing the same thing or using the same weapons (which i LOVE). They made excellent use of xbox live with trading and furthered that feature with achievements like the dollcatcher and the collector. Fable gets an 8/10, fable 2 gets a 9/10 (only because of all of the bug and glitch reports though)

I thought the combat system sucked, it makes the combat way to easy. And now it is all more button mashing than before. And the magic system sucked. Really bad. And I mean REALLY bad. And there was a very small clothing selection. And no freaking armour? Like what the cheese?

Yeah, I replaced a profane word with the word cheese.

when i first heard guns in fable 2 i was like "omg wtf!!!! ruined!!!" then i warmed up to it and now i kinda like it, then i heard no armor and i was like "aw ffs... ruined" then i played it and saw why there was no armor and now i think it was an awsome move on LH part but i do strongly agree that the magic system sucks balls in fable 2

Actually I don't think they are comparable. They are good in so different areas. Fable 2 was more beautiful and had a better combat system whilst Fable had a better storyline and a warm fuzzy feeling that I haven't felt in any other game. They are both awesome and always will be in my opinion. 500 post BTW.

There's no armour because Mr.Molenyeux liked the idea of not having to change clothes because of the armour rating. so you can choose what clothes you like and not have to worry about being stat deprived.
