Fable TLC Crash

I installed the game and started it. Passed through scenes and all, went options and when I tried going back crashed.

Tried opening again and appeared a box talking about the crash and asking to start normal or safe, then i tried just opening and crashed after the "Click left mouse button" then tried safe and happened the same.

Reinstalled the game, and could play (didn't even get close to options :P), but after playing for a couple of hours, decided to stop and close, when closing it crashed, and i tried to reopen and the same thing happened again, the box and crash on first screen, over and over again.

Anyone knows what may be?

My specs: mobo: g31m-s2l, cpu: Q6600, vga: xfx 8600gt, ram: 2gb kingstom.
[Video drivers are up to date.]

Re: Fable TCL Crash

XP or Vista?

And you spelled TLC wrong XD

Re: Fable TCL Crash

It may just be your computer, but have you gone over and compared the specs between your game and computer?

From microsoft.com:

FABLE TLC Minimum requirements:
One of the following Microsoft Windows XP operating systems:

o Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

o Microsoft Windows XP Professional

o Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition

* A computer that has a 1.4 gigahertz (GHz) equivalent or higher processor.

* Microsoft DirectX 9.0 or a later version of Microsoft DirectX. Microsoft DirectX

9.0c is installed by Fable: The Lost Chapters.

* 256 megabytes (MB) of system RAM.

* 3 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space.

* 32x speed or faster CD-ROM drive.

* 64 MB shader-capable video card.

* A sound card and either a set of speakers or a set of headphones are required for audio.
* A Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device.

If you didn't know already, to check your comp's specs go to start and look for run. Once you've clicked run, type 'dxdiag' in the search box and hit OK.

If you've already gone and checked your specs then I don't know what else to tell ya. It might also help if you post what the error box says, because other peeps might be able to help you out further. ;)

Re: Fable TCL Crash

here is another factor:

Is your game pirated? Or is it the ACTUAL game on disc that you payed money for, this is crucial. Because if it is pirated (yarr) then the uploader has incorrect/corrupted files and your game will continually do this without the proper files.

If its not, then refer to the post above me.

However, there is 1 thing I can try to do for you to TRY to help, I can give you the major game files for the game located in the data folder.

Yeah, it's Yarrr version. :P

The game works fine if it's the first time running, but when I quit it crashes and over and over after the first scene. I tried running on another user (WinXP) and worked fine, new profile, but when i exited, same thing again.

I saw lot of peeps having the same issue, but they all used windowsblind and that was the problem, but as I don't use windowsblind, I can't see why i'm getting that.

As for the specs, I'm way above that :P

Re: Fable TCL Crash

hmm, i don't see how you should be having a problem.

EDITED: To save my ass

Re: Fable TCL Crash

Awww, oh well. I didn't really mean to do it that way, there was no other way I could get it, it's still a trial version, whatever off of this topic now.

Well, I dont really know how to help you, if re-installing it didn't help, I have no idea. Perhaps next time you should buy the real deal.

Re: Fable TCL Crash

I also have the same problem described in here. I started a new game. All went nice and well for a while and then suddenly the game crashes. from this point on I don't get past the "click left mouse button" startscreen. plus I have the real deal.
I just tried this out but it didn't work and my specs also are better than required. I mean the game already worked for some time.
