I agree, though WoW had good sales figures and thats a pay monthly game. Never appealed to me though, didnt like the GFX at all and the style put me off.

i've seen WoW cause one of my family members has it. it looked okay at first but as you said the graphics weren't that good and i didn't like the story line.

Not everything in the world can be free, and I'm sure Guild Wars pays for some restraints for having no monthly fee deals. I don't know what things WoW can benefit, but for FFXI it goes along the range of having the benefits Play Online carries as well as the things that FFXI itself can do.

Guild Wars has more updates than any MMORPG i know of, they even made everything look haloween style at haloween and added a new area just for it and new enemies. I think thats awesome, that they can do that on the fly and add new stuff like that. Updates really fast aswel, not sure of any retraints, maybe the region only areas so not to many thousands of people are on the same servers. You can switch at your own will though and it helps from overcrowding.
