Favourite Borderlands Weapons Manufacturer

Yeah i've never used a gun that says "Explodes after reloading" I was like, "Whaaaaaaat???", So I guess thats what happens.. Lame..

I tend to go for guns that are powerful and have a good magazine size.. Not too worried if its not elemental or special.

Later in game you will find that you need to go elemental or go home.

I found that my prefered manufacturer depends on the weapon in question.

Sniper rifle: Jakobs makes wonderful sniper rifles, they pack a hell of a punch and this time their accuacy is decent as well. A good Jakobs sniper in the hands of the assassin makes heads dissapear in one hit almost every time. Hyperion and Maliwan make nice sniper rifles as well.
Shotgun: Hyperion. Not negotiable. This is where the Hyperion "accuacy increases with each shot" really shines. With a Jakobs shotgun, you gotta get right up in the enemies face to do much damage, not so with Hyperion.
Submachine gun: Maliwan. A submachine gun pretty much garentees the maximum effect of the element. Tediore sub machineguns can do massive damage if you throw them with a nearly full clip. Excelent when in fight for your life mode.
Assalt Rifle: Vladof or Tourge. I don't use the assalt rifles much in this game, mostly snipers and shotguns.
Rocket Launcher: Don't use em, ever.
Pistol: Jakobs, Tediore, or Hyperion

So I guess in the end, I have to go with Hyperion. :P I don't really use the Bandit guns very often. Ammo capacity isn't much of an advantage. I guess the Bandit weapons just have large ammo clips to compensate for the fact that they usually suck.

Also, have you noticed that not every weapon manufacturer makes every type of weapon anymore? There seems to be no such thing as a Jakobs submachinegun, a Bandit sniper rifle, or Hyperion Assalt rifle, just to name a few.

I know im the Hyperion boss dog and all..

but

Maliwan bitcchhhezzz, awesome elemental and they look the best too.

Jakobs, mainly because I like spamming the hammer on the revolvers and turning whatever's stood in front of me into Swiss cheese. Plus I like the way they look in general, very well crafted with that old western touch that I love so much.

Full auto weapons though I like Vladof for the overwhelming firepower, the poor accuracy is an advantage at times when going up against swarms of weaker enemies.

Dahl. For one reason.

I haven't played Borderlands in a while, but I found this insane Dahl Bulldog on my first playthrough. The weapon was so good it just wasn't fair. It lasted me for probably half the game before I found something that was worth replacing it, which says something. Guns aren't supposed to get you that kind of mileage in Borderlands... It's the only weapon I actually remember from playing the game because it was so much fun to use.

In terms of sniper rifles, I'm pretty torn between Hyperion and Jakobs. I like Hyperion because of the increasing accuracy feature each time the trigger is pulled and I like Jacobs for the high damage and the fact that they're good 'ol fashioned bolt action weapons; I find that they look the best aesthetically in my opinion too, much like the revolver pistols.

Shotgun-wise though I definately consider Hyperion the go-to manufacturer, increasing accuracy on a shotgun is a fantasic feature and wins me over easily.

Bandit Rocket launchers are pretty handy too, many of the bandit ones I've used fire mulitple rockets and then some; having reserve rockets left over so you don't have to reload straight away. This is exellent for taking bandit hover vehicles out of the sky as well as taking on small groups of enemies with ease. Plus You can scatter larger groups very easily too with multi-rocket launchers, then finish them of with long range weapons. I haven't used as many rocket launchers as I have rifles or shotguns but from the experience I have had with them I find that Bandit rocket launchers seem to work best, for me at least.
