Future Contests

Okay, so I need your opinion!

Me and Necromancer11 have hosted the Trivia, Where In The Fable World and Massacre at Bowerstone. They've all been contests we're running and have run. Massacre at Bowerstone is already over and done, and one of the others may be ending soon as well. I'm not naming which one, I'm just thinking about stuff right now, so my question to all of you, who want to have and play in contests, is what type of contests do you want in the future? I have a couple of ideas, but they're just rough drafts right now and I need to think out the whole thing before I start it, so what kind of contests would you guys like to have in the future? All who answer receive rep!

Are you meaning contests about fable or just future contests in general?

Well i think more Contests about fable tlc in general would be great! Or even about fable 3, but only do it on the stuff thats been confirmed.

No I mean what type of contests, yes I know to do about contests for Fable TLC and Fable 2 and Fable 3, but what types?

I think Trivia is a really good contest, and WITFW was fun, but it was too easy tbh. Not sure what contests you could have actually, but I'll give it a think.

I wanna see plenty of suggestions, folks. I'll be personally backing these contests and handing out some decent prizes. ;)

well maby actually doing something creative...like member of the month, or perhaps a random raffle?

perhaps a trivia where members post fable in-game experiences under a category that changes every week? Winner decided by vote, or by sean and necro's reactions
I.E. Week 1: Humor
Answer: the game glitched and took away my sword, so i just played a lute on the boss battle until i died.

that's a bad answer that took me about 10 seconds to come up with...but you get the idea. ;)

you offer a hint as in "8 gyms until the Elite"
we answer pokemon, because there are 8 gyms followed by the elite 4

find that website:
you look for strange or funny websites and post a hint "the unthinkable is attainable"
and we answer zombo.com because the unthinkable is attainable at zombo.com

name that movie:
you offer a hint such as "large marge"
and we all know that you're referring to Pee Wee's Big Adventure

I like the idea of a What in the Fable World, how about you find a screenshot of a weapon or something, and zoom in really far. If no one gets it, zoom out a bit more, and the first person to see what it is wins.

EDIT: And Sean and Necro, I think you ought to have a userbar that says 'Quizmaster' or something :D

HobbeBrain, I wouldn't mind a userbar like that xD but that's up to Steve not me!

As for my ideas: They are confidential right now, top secret. Plus the past three contests have been my idea so I want to do something that you guys would like too.

Perhaps it could be like a 'picture of the week' kind of deal. People could send in screen shots of Fable (or any game, really) to who ever is running it, and have members rate them on a scale of one to 10.

I really like this idea. Perhaps a quote from a character or a slightly vague description of them could be posted, and members could guess who the character is.

I like this one as well. It could be the same general competition as the character one, but with objects, weapons, enemies, etc. Perhaps to go along with this and 'Where in the Fable World,' we could name the character one 'Who in the Fable World.'

I'm not sure how well this would work out, but maybe we could have some kind of a race on Fable 2. :lol: Everyone could start at the Temple of Light and race to the shooting range in Westcliff. It might be hard to monitor because keeping track of all those orbs would be difficult, and we'd have to trust people not to use quick travel (even though it might be sort of obvious if they do), but I'm sure these bugs could be worked out somehow. :lol:

How about the 'Who Am I' game? Can be anyone, not just Fable Characters, and everyone has to guess and whoever gets it first gets 250 rep or whatever.

Lets say in the game the poster gives 3 clues and everyone else has to figure out who it is. The person who works it out then starts a new 'Who Am I' and gets the rep.

E.g
1. Everyone knows me by my first name
2. I make plenty of contributions
3. I have a have been part of a community for almost 1 year now

If it isn't figured after 20 posts then a new cue will have to be given but after 25 posts then the OP WINS can post a new 'Who Am I' and takes all the rep. Easy enough
