Ubermensch is a concept set by Frederich Nietzsche meaning basically "super human". In essence it means that we as humans suck, at our current state, and could become so much more if we put our minds to it.

Nietzsche blamed a lot of things for 'keeping the human race down', especially Christianity and religion as whole. The concept of the 'super human' set by Nietzsche was later adopted by the Nazis and formed the core of their racial ideology.

Nah, I'm just read-up on my old friend Nietzsche.

Who wasn't a Nazi, nor was his ideology - but a lot of Nazi ideas were based on it, unfortunately, so people tend to give you an odd look when you bring him up nowadays.
