Keep them; and try and get the 3rd Special Gem; not for any reason; but you never know what Lionhead will come up with next

They are 2 of the 3 Divinity Gems (well most likely, it gets a bit confusing so I wont go into it)... no purpose has been laid out for them as far as im aware... but still cool to have.

If they could be used for anything in the future my guess would be legendary augments, perhaps you learn to create your own augments later on using stones?

They're really just for selling or collecting. When some people beat the game, they go through and try to collect every item possible (such as trhe gems). As far as I know, there is no third stone in game, unless they just said that as a joke about how you can get two Diamonds of Sorrow.:ninja:
