some of you might remember that i told you all that i was reading the Fable book
i loved the Fable book

so i decided to tackle the halo books: Ghosts of Onyx and Contact Harvest
Ghosts of Onyx = suck
Contact Harvest = awesome
has any one read the other Halo books? any of them as good as CH?

read fall of reach, the flood, and first strike back... must've been 5 years ago?
flood is the exact story of halo 1... first strike didn't keep me interested. fall of reach i remember liking, but it's been a while. it may not be as good today since there's an actual game out about reach now.

reach follows master chief from youth up until the end of, well... you know. so it's a story not really covered in the book due to not being about noble 6. anyway, if i were to recommend any of them it'd be that one. military training, first encounters with the covenant, the works.

I've got all of them and I really enjoyed reading them - took me a while to get into some but it's good stuff. Not entirely convinced of the canon of some of them given the timelines but then again that sort of thing is for the fanboys to argue over - I just liked more of the universe, the people and the stuff about the flood and covenant.

The first one, The Fall of Reach, is awesome. I read that in only a couple of days. Halo: Reach completely went against it, but it's still a good book.

Yes. I enjoyed reading all of them as well, as they fill in plenty of missing informations and interesting story arcs. I also have the comics, which are fun as well...
