I actually celebrated my birthday earlier this week (everyone had to work today). I got a few things (HDD, money, clothes, etc.) and had a pretty nice party with the family.

Remembered you saying you were celebrating it and had a party but hadnt heard what things you had received.

Yeah, my little nieces thought it would be funny to make me a paper cane for my birthday.. *sighs*.. 27 years old, better look out John, I'm catching up to you.

Thats quite amusing, least it was light hearted joking. I just get pure abuse  (now your over the hill, soon to be under it... etc).

The only thing bad about your B-Day Gikooku, is that you seem to have a new sig.

Another sig to make me wonder what the hell it is.

 How cruel, I am quite happy to no longer receive any birthday hits from my friends anymore, although my brother likes to stick to tradition.

It's a .gif I made of Yoko Oginome (Japanese pop singer from the 80s, my favorite). ^_^

Well you're still younger than me - I'll be two years shy of 30 in about a month :(

A very happy birthday to you - you share the same birthday as my mum - useless trivia but designed to make you feel more like you belong to a huge online family of people who would otherwise not associate with each other for fear of being molested if it wasn't for the fact the internet is made for people such as they.

:D :D

 Thank you, Sharon. It means a lot.

Now that I think about it, being old does have its advantages: You don't have to be responsible for things anymore, you can make believe you have Alzheimer's disease, and even take advantage of people by having them carry your heavy luggage and fetch things for you. Plenty of fun to be had.

I thoroughly look forward to being a crabby old witch of a lady when I'm older - it's about the only benefit there is to being half-dead. I just hate looking at 18 year olds thinking "I used to have their energy...now I'm just asleep by 9.30"...it's so wrong!

It gets worse when you have children - they seem to make it their life's work to tell you that you are old, out of touch and an embarrassment. Ok, so I was standing on the front drive in my dressing gown, hair wrapped in a towel, screeching for Jessica to come in for dinner - but still...

 True. I would love to pretend to have very poor vision, so an annoying little teenage girl will come up to me and I can go:

Ohh, Martha! Is that really you? Aw, I haven't seen you in ages.. ya got a few wrinkles there, but you don't look a day over 50! Good to see you again. *licks lips*

Mess them up in the head.

Re: Happy birthday Gikoku Harakami!

I'm late, too, but **** it. Happy Birthday!

Would you two stop whining? One of the guys I work for is turning 28 this year, and every time it comes up he'll ***** and moan and complain about how old he's getting.

Meanwhile, all the employees and volunteers who are over fifty or so (most of them, except for five or so) are sitting there going, uh-huh. You;re full of ****.

I'm sorry, are you implying that you're NOT a crabby old witch already?
