Wait, was there a year 0? Or did it just go from 1 BC to 1 AD? Or BCE and CE if you prefer it that way.

0 is the year of the birth of Christ. Religion-based calendar? What religion-based calendar? The 1st century AD is the 1-99. Second is 100-199, third 200-299, and so on.

1st BC is 100-1 BC, etc. I think.
