Hate their dog?

Am i the only one who hates the dog?

Only reason i don't like it is because it seems kind of childish and unrealistic. Childish in the sense that this dog grew a bond with you the second you helped it and stood by you through ALL your problems and to me seems to never help in a battle. Unrealistic as this dog was a adult by my childhood, so many 8, and lived with me till i was nearly 30-35ish where he gets shot, the dog would of been well into his 100's as thats like 27 years + how ever old he was when we found him *im assuming 3 or 4 years.

I, personally, found it annoying how long it took for him to find treasures, and the barking gets so annoying and excessive (since I know where everything is already). It's just distracting and gets in the way all the time, I think I'll pick Sacrifice from now on. I mean, some of the things it finds is helpful and expensive, so it pays...literally...but I don't think annoyance is worth it.

Hey - you know what else is unrealistic? Being able to shoot lightning out of your hands - oh wait, that's in Fable as well! Guess this game isn't very good at being real life, huh.

Now no point starting any flaming here, no game is fully based on realistic but every game has to have some points were the world is realistic and life should be one of them.

Sometimes it pays off and the thing definitely helps on some of your quest but money never really is a problem in this game and with a good guide you could figure out all those spots with ease, and ya i agree with you that bark definitely got on my nerves.

lol, maybe you guys didn't enjoy your dogs...but i named mine after my dog irl. she was the same breed, and i absolutely nerd raged when she died. no way in hell i should care about $1,000,000 or thousands of dead victims if my puppy was dead!

Well i'd like my dog if it had more of a personality rather then "teach me this book and ill do it"
And the dog death seen could of played a much much bigger role as i was disappointed that something that was made to be so important to you just got shot and thats it.

Flaming? And here I thought that Nurple was just being a sarcastic asshole. Does that count as flaming? Iunno. Disagreeing vociferously is fine, so long as you don't start breaking out personal remarks.

Anywho, not sure why you complain both that your dog never helps in a battle AND that it's unrealistic that it lives so long. I mean, seriously, isn't it fairly realistic that the dog CAN'T do much in a fight against, say, giant balverines or hobbes with guns and axes and ****? And he occasionally knocks them down, at least.

But yeah, I have no problem with the long life. Seriously, if Theresa can live for 500+ years, and Scythe can live who-the-****-knows-how-long, then I think that Sparrow can somehow mystically keep his dog alive for thirty years without meaning to.

But yeah, I like him. A dumb mutt, yeah, but so are all the other dogs in this universe. Sometimes annoying, but generally awesome.

EDIT: But yeah, I said but yeah, a lot.

Maybe dog's just live longer in Albion? Who knows.

I hope that in Fable 3 they let you choose the dog's gender. My dog in real life is a girl, and I'd like to give her name to my dog in Fable without it being weird.

I don't like my dog. The only reason I brought the dumb thing back from Knothole Island was for the Lady Grey and other digging quests.

You know, what I do is just get my dog hurt by bandits or something and let it limb around town. Nothing more funny on the game!
