I remember my fanfiction days. My sister just told me a couple days ago that her reading porn was my fault, because when I was eleven and she was eight I introduced her to fanfiction and from there she found depraved, sexual fanfiction.

I actually think that when I introduced her to the concept I may have said something along the lines of "it's really cool, but there's horrible sex things and you shouldn't read anything that looks like it's depraved."

Dude. Fanfiction has better sex scenes than any other type of writing. Well, sometimes.

But that's just an added bonus. A good plot is my focus.

Say what you want about fan fiction. Some of the best things I've ever read were fan fiction. There are many brilliant and talented authors.
