Not truly gone as a certain villian in TLC proved. They are just much, much more rarer these days! But on the other hand, the trailer did feature a small dragon/wyvren and the game does take place 500 years later. Perhaps the remaining dragons managed to save their race and it is now in stable numbers again...:ninja:

The jack of Blades is/was a dragon

and he wasn't dead.

And the oracles say hardly anything about dragons. except for:

"If Krakens had existed on land as the first Trolls did, or in the air as the greatest Dragons did"
"Many years ago, a ship from the South islands was carried upon a wave mightier than any dragon."

The dragons were all over Albion before, but according to the Bowerstone Teacher the craving for products like "Dragon feet paperweights" made them almost extinct, but the remaining few fled to the Northern Wastes... also, the Northern Wastes is where Jack of Blades is rumoured to have first appeared...:ninja:

Certainly makes you wonder about the history of them and if he was the only one who could do it etc....

I am quite certain Jack mentions that the dragon is indeed his original form at some point, not that he was a human in the first place. It is alot more likely that he is a dragon that has bound his soul to the mask to remain immortal aslong as the mask is intact. Alot of facts points to this.
1. The mask "speaks" to you after you supposedly defeated his dragon form.
2. Schyte insists on destroying the mask, because as it still remains, so does Jack.
3.During one point of the game, you'll hear that Jack of Blades originates from the Northren Wastes AKA Dragon Country
4. During one point you'll learn that Jack is ancient, impossible for one human and some people suggest that infact many different persons have worn the mask over the years, further more supporting that "The mask IS Jack".

It is alot more likely that he is a dragon that has bound his soul to the mask to remain immortal aslong as the mask is intact, because it corrupts everyone wearing it and in the end turning them into Jack. That is why people think there has been alot more than one person wearing the mask claiming to be TEH Jack of Blades

Makes you wonder if he was a dragon in the first place how was he the only one smart enough to survive and what made him so special to outlast the other Dragons and bind his soul to the mask in the first place...?

Also...he is the only dragon "known" to have done this - who can tell if other dragons have done so without being discovered? And perhaps some dragons are not evil like him, so maybe some good heroes might've been dragons...locked in an enternal struggle against the evil dragons in their different forms....who knows?


Or perhaps he was the ruler of the dragons? Could explain why he wants to controll Albion, as one might have figured the dragons did before they fell from power, so to speak.

I don't know - he is already a Lich-kind of creature, so in a sense he would already be immortal without the Mask.... =]

I reckon that Jack is Satan or something, I mean it says that he is the oldest thing in existence, meaning that he was created at the same time as teh universe, with god and such.
