How do you celebrate the holidays?

As opposed to a generalized "Happy Hanukkah" "Merry Christmas" thread, let's talk instead of what we actually do to celebrate the holiday season. I, for example, made an epic gingerbread creation as a tribute to Led Zeppelin.

for hannukah we eat dinner as a family, if i have work or something conflicting with it then it's not a big deal to miss.

for new years i go out with friends and celebrate in ways that make my brain threaten to move out.

Haha, I'm glad you guys like my and my sisters' handiwork. ;D
I really want to eat the entire stage (well mostly the men on the stage...) but there's so much hot glue that it'd be pretty deadly. xD Oh well, they're fun to look at for now.

Presents in the morning, spend the day with family. Food, etc. Then on Boxing Day, I go to my Dad's house in Newcastle. Spend time there, including New Years.

Well, of course that would be ideal, but then the muffins don't taste quite as good, and you wouldn't be eating them while you have the munchies, and...uhh...wait...weren't we s'pposed to be talkin' 'bout holidays 'n' stuff...? :lol:

Put up tree and decorations
Eat lotz of foodz
exchange gifts
Hang out with family

New years:
Burn said christmas tree
eat more food
set off fireworks
hide them until the cop goes away
light more fireworks
have a bonfire
stay up until 1 A.M.

WTF IS BOXING DAY??????

Being completely over our heads in debt, we're not really doing anything for Christmas this year.

Went to the local Carols by Candlelight show last night to see my sister play. It's like a variety show, except with youth choirs, concert bands (of which my sister was a part of), solo singers, doing Christmas carols It was seriously the most ametuer, mediocre thing I've ever seen. It was long (like 5 hours, for ****s sake), boring, uncomfortable (outdoors, on a grass field. No chairs). The worst thing about it, was that it only serves to indoctrinate kids into the whole story.

I know it's about the kids (the ones on stage) having fun and everything, but it was NOT fun for ANYONE else.
