Gamerpoints are nice, but they only really say 1 of 2 things
1. I hire a different game every weekend. i've played over 200 games. I haven't completed one yet, but i have 38540 gamer points
2. I have no life, no job, no GF, and my parents give me money when ever i crack a sad, so i have plenty of time to play games. I have 1750 gamerpoints on Halo 3 and i luv 2 pwn noobs

To make this a little more interesting, calculate the percentage of points that you have from your total possible score. you may remove any games from that total that you have a zero gamer score for, because, let's face it, you didn't really play them anyway, so why count them. it also improves your percentage.

i have 6835/14570 which gives me about 47%

I have 5,785 gamerpoints. Most of that came from Fable II and Oblivion! Otherwise, I'd probably have less than a thousand!

Wait, what? You can only score 1000(ish) points from one game.

I actually have 2000 something GP. My Xbox is just in another room that does not have internet atm.

14,525...To anyone who says gamerscore means nothing, yer be dead wrong. Gamerscore can tell you alot about someone; if it's low (in the hundreds) you know they're new to xbox, if it's ridiculously high (25,000 or higher (my opinion)) then you know they're a nerd. Gamerscore can also tell you how good someone is (sort of); if they have a very hard achievement then you know they're good and if they haven't even finished the tutorial to a game then you know they're rubbish.

Well, gamerscore isn't necessarily an indication of how good/crap someone is at a game - a lot of my points have been gotten through either someone else playing on my profile or through setting up private matches/exploiting unpatched glitches so I can easily do things which would otherwise be out of my league. Or I save and reload to get a bunch of achievements in quick succession. And as for not completing tutorials - I never do them if I can help it. They annoy me - doesn't mean I can't be any good at a game though (although to be fair I do suck for the most part).

Besides, some achievements are ridiculously easy to get - we've bought a few games in the past that are easy scoring games just for the points (sad but true). Not all games require the same level of skill to get the points after all...

You can get half of Fable 2's achievements by simply finish the game. xD

I have 20,675 G ... I stopped trying to get achievements after I hit 20,000. ^_^
