I am finally a Pc gamer :]

I went to devices, is this the right information? And if so whats the damage? Thank you all for bieng so helpful

What games do you plan on playing? That graphics card is actually pretty old and it normally comes with pre-built computers. If you plan on playing anything new, I would suggest buying a better GPU (Graphics Processing Unit/Graphics Card/Video Card).

Depending on your motherboard, you might be able to find a good and affordable graphics card. Again, if you need any help figuring out what Motherboard you have, or suggestions for a new graphics card, just ask.

Please reply about games you plan on playing, though.

Well by the end of the year i would like to be able to play Elder scrolls V full graphics enabled. Rightnow tonight I want to be able to play TLC I checked its minimum requirements and it seemed to match up which I'm sure should be fine...So how do I check my motherboard? My friend built his gaming computer from buying all the parts seperate on the internet for incredibly cheap for the power it has. Where could I find a good enough GPU for Elder Scrolls, affordability is the main aspect I am looking at.

Also to just further explain I have 500G of memory space so no worries on the Hard Drive and 2G of RAM. Two gigs should be fine for speed am I correct? I know it doesn't take much.

That, my friend, is an integrated graphics card. You won't be able to run very many good games from that since it isn't a dedicated graphics card. It's graphics built into your motherboard.

In short, you don't have a graphics card - which is pretty much the heart of your games running well on your PC.
So how do I check my motherboard?

install the software I linked you to in the previous post and run it?

Thanks will do. I dont know where to find a good graphics card not even where to start, if im gunna spend my money on one whats the definate way to go? Now when Ive checked out my motherboard is it simple open up my tower and plug the wires in? I dont have to do any soddering or anything like that will i?

Graphics cards are pretty much plug in and play devices. There should be a row of slots on your motherboard, towards the back of the case. You just plug it in there, install the driver and away you go.

As far as actual models go, I've always used nvidia ones. I'm using the GeForce 8800 GTS, which is a pretty beast card. You can get one of those relatively cheaply ($100 or so)

Also, what's your CPU and RAM?

100$ is fetching. 2G RAM Don't know my CPU

Open Start menu, right click "my computer", click properties. Should say what your CPU is next to the "Processor" heading.

Processor: AMD sempron(tm) 145 processor 2.80 GHz
RAM 2G (1.75 usable)
64bit operating system
Thats all it says information wise.
I'm just waiting for TLC to finish installing then run it and just see where I go from there.

Hey guys I really appreciate the help. I'll pay it back with awesome mods ;) But sincerely I thank you this is something I've been wanting to do for so long.

You definitely need to get a new Graphics card. What you could do, if you know what you're looking at, but it seems that you don't, is you could open up your tower and look at the motherboard, it normally has it printed on the actual motherboard itself.

As for your GPU, they're mostly plug and play. Remember, graphics wise and most game performance is off your GPU. Integrated GPU's are awful and if you're going to game, NEVER RELY ON INTEGRATED! Integrated GPU's are GPU's that come with your motherboard, basically, it's part of it. The reason they're so bad is they feed from your RAM and your CPU in-order to process graphics, they just use the nVidia or ATi drivers and chipsets, thus having the "nVidia" or "ATi" name for their "Graphics".

Anyway, you could try this:

http://majorgeeks.com/download4181.html

It should show you what components you have. It's key that we know what kind-of motherboard you have, because by knowing what you have, we can let you know what you need.

Also, your CPU (Central Processing Unit) is a single core processor. I'm sorry, but most games being developed for PC these days require a dual-core processor, so you're definitely going to want to upgrade this if you want to "future proof" your rig.

Like I stated before, find out what motherboard you have (you could ask your friend or the person you bought it from), and we could work from there.

Speccy says your motherboard details along with everything else in your hardware. Install the f***er and run it.

Zarkes, do as Nocstus says (I thought he was referring earlier that the price of $25 was for this program, I'm now assuming it's free). We -need- to know what motherboard you have and if Noctus' Speccy program does it, go and download it and run it.

I hope to goodness Steve never catches sight of this thread...
I think anyone with any computer knowledge might vomit their internal organs. :P

Yeah it's free. It doesn't give us all of the information we need, but some research should easily find everything we will need and this will give us the necessity to do said research.
