I was attacked in my room at one of the council run hostels - my ex tried to push me out of a first floor window and other unpleasantness. Still, turns out I have good lungs and a mean left hook when necessary

Well, we make dumb choices sometimes and my ex was my major dumb choice. But then if he hadn't been a part of my life I would not have Jessica now, so every cloud and all that jazz

Respect to you Sharon. I'm 18 and I know pretty darn well I would've cracked under the pressure of all that - even if I can't get pregnant, the other stuff would've gotten me.

Well, I did crack :lol:

I swear I spent about 2 years on the strongest pills they could give me...

Like I say, you just kind of get on with it because the alternative is just to curl up and disappear, really. Plus you don't know what you are capable of handling until you are faced with it. I used to just take whatever was thrown at me but now if I have to give someone a mouthful in order to get what needs doing done, then I will. Plus it taught me a lot about being independent and there isn't much I can't deal with. Might stress me out, but ultimately I know I'll come out the other side...

P.S - don't worry. I'm sure in the future you'll get the joy of being pregnant due to advances in modern medicine and all that :lol:
