It's true.

A couple of years back I got my knee x-rayed and the doctors noticed a white spot on the x-ray, I was asked to come back every six months to get my knee scanned to see if the tumor grows, it is some weird tumor that they don't really know what is.

Anyway, a couple of days ago I was at the doctors office to get my test results. I walk into his office and he says that it would probably be better if I sat down for this. He looks at his test results and then looks up and says:

"I'm sorry but you've got cancer."

My life flashes infront of me and a 1000 thoughts go through my mind, after calming myself down I ask him how long I got.

He looks at his computer for about 10 seconds and then looks back at me.

"Well..... Statistically speaking..... 50 - 60 years"

I'm like WTF!!!

he laughed.


Apparently I have the most ridiculous kind of cancer known to man, cancer that doesn't do..... anything...

You never know. Malignant tumors can invade nearby tissue. Cancerous cells can break free and enter the bloodstream, spreading the cancer to other organs.

Damn. The women on my mothers side of the family have a chance of getting heditary cancer, it starts at 40 and by 50, total organ failure. It should be somewhat treatable now but according according to my mom it has killed off every woman on her side the last 100 years.

Aye, as far as cancer goes, Xeon's pretty lucky. I mean, if you have to have cancer, that's the one to get. Many others aren't so fortunate.

You can still feel bad, I have weekly physical therapy to attend to the rest of my life which was the reason I got the x-ray in the first place

But as far as money go the 42% I pay in taxes covers that, free drugs and cab rides in winter.... My knee is like an old mans

I agree. Mirrors Edge definatley wont make you feel like crap about not being able to walk properly.

I've completed mirros edge on expert

But the funny thing is that the sport that caused my injury in the first place is the only sport that I do a 100% without worrying about not being able to walk for the next 2 weeks.... Back when I played semi-pro handball I would walk like I'd been raped in the shower everytime there was a big game

Really? I played it for a day and beat it on easy and normal. I was gonna do the other but... I don't have all the time.

I found out I just lied... I'm 3 obstacles from completing the game on expert but I just can bring myself to it... It's too boring and the EA'ness itches in my throat

... I love Mirror's Edge... I want a good TV and an Xbox 360 and Fable 2, Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, and Mirror's Edge. My life would be complete.

You can get Mirrors Edge on PC but it's not that good nor long a game, I recommend renting it instead.
