I just got rid of Fable 2!

The bottom line is:

  • The guitar sounds great, better than my old one.
  • The guitar plays well, better than my old one.
  • I got it for a mass produced game that I can pick up for about a bloody tenner. I could go out tomorrow and buy another f*cking copy, so would you stop being so negative over it?
  • I'm poor as hell and will get my hands on whatever I can reasonably afford.
Oh, and I use .11 to .54 because it sounds better in drop tunings. Though sometimes I'll use .10 to .52 if I want them just that little bit more flexible.

I don't give a damn about class. I wouldn't have even chose the shape of a V if I had the choice, but for goodness sake, I could buy 30 copies of Fable II for what this guitar is worth - I would have been an idiot to pass this up. I'm considering sanding down the body of my old guitar and using the neck and pickups from the new one.

Oh, and a V can actually be quite practical when performing on stage when performing solos - you can rest it on your knee in the dip of the V, and I like that a lot about this guitar.

I guess it's a good deal, but I still don't like the guitar. I guess that's to be expected from someone who's studying Jazz, though

Out of curiosity, what was your old one?

It's not TOO bad, but it's rather battered and doesn't sound very good.

Yes.

:)

As you could tell, I was quite excited that I got a really nice guitar for the price of a half price mainstream game and wanted to channel that happiness somewhere. So sue me.

(don't sue me or i'll harass you >:c)

You got ripped off. That looks like such a gimmicky, try hard guitar. Probably plays alright, but it's got no class. Even a cheap Squier would be more tasteful. Not to mention the strings are probably horribly thin.

Hahahahahahalololololololololhahahahahalololoklol fender hahahahahahahahahalolololollololololohahahahaha

you say fender/squire and mention gimmicky haha everyone uses fender now and gibson, I think that guitrar is very original, it's a randy rhoads jackson v. I love it. thank and I think fenders are ugly as sin, I like my new epi explorer with emg81/85, traded my old guitar away.

The sound is 90% the amp anyway, especially these days. Whether a guitar is good or not is more about how it plays, I think.

Yeah, you're right. I think I might rip out the pickups from the new Vintage and put them in that one.

Oh, and perhaps the neck. I like this one more.

Good luck with that. I hope you know how to solder.
