Downloading ROMs is piracy, which is illegal and against the rules of this forum.

wel daemon a emu is an emulator which is like a console but on your computer for an exapmle vba = a gba and a rom is the game u download to play

I think you can get around emulators being legal, but you have to supply your own .bios for the gba emulator and such. And I think the roms are illegal to distribute, but I'm not sure.

It's not illegal if you own a copy of the game, a receed and/or a CD key

Yeah, I think it is legal in that sense, but you still can't distribute them. That is illegal.

it's like Skotekal said. The emulators you can get legally and are distributed legally, they are after all freeware that was created for distribution. ROMs on the other hand are illegal unless you own a copy. Also, if you heard anywhere that it's legal to download a game for 24 hours, that's an urban legend.

either way, if i were to suggest you an emu, whether you have a PC or a Mac, what version of the former do you have, and what kind of emu are you looking for would all be helpful to know...

Gens emulator for Mega Drive roms; Project64 emulator for Nintendo 64 roms. I can't really remember any others. There was a good one for GBA roms ages ago but I'm not sure if it's still supported and I can't remember the name...
