Is there something missing?

I dont know why im making this thread, i surpose just to see if people feel the same way about games as i do..

Each time i start and clock a game i always find that the people that have made the game always miss out something, yeah i know that they try there best to get the game to be the most perfect and best game on the shelves, and yes i know that all games cant be perfect but there always seems to be something missing at the end of the game.

I mean most games have like parts of the story that are messed up, not that all storylines should be perfect in the first place. I mean take fable 2 for example, i mean at the end of the game you shouldnt have to let theresa or how ever its spelt have the spire, I mean half way through the game the character should of realised that she was just using the heroes to get her own way in the first place. I mean i love the game but theres alot that could be added to the game.

Maybe its just me being fussy about games but i dont knwow aht the story is.

Sorry if this annoys people that im going on about this, im sure some of you will feel the same way about games as i do.

Sorry if anyone was annoyed by me sort of making fun of the storyline of fable II

Re: Is there something missing?

So are we just making fun of Fable 2 or something? We all know it sucked. I was extremely disappointed with it. I was expecting to have a Fable 1 type of fell, but it looked completely different. And the guns. Why the damn guns? WHY???

And the combat system sucked. And I mean it sucked hard.

Re: Is there something missing?

I didn't think it sucked - I really like Fable 2 and enjoyed it immensely.

No matter what the game is, I believe there is always room for improvement simply because the "perfect" game does not exist - perfection is what people strive for but no one has managed it yet; however it makes developers work that little bit harder next time so they can produce something better.

With a lot of games I have played, I have realised that the endings are somewhat anticlimactic for a number of reasons - usually because there is no satisfactory way to wrap up the story without making it seem either a little too tidy or so cryptic or ambiguous it leaves you scratching your head in frustration and feeling somewhat cheated.

Re: Is there something missing?

A perfect game? Mario Bros! :D

But I still don't like Fable 2. I actually feel cheated of my 70 bucks for that stupid LE version that didn't even come with a code. And Microsoft didn't send me one for about 3 months, and then the code didn't work.

But of course, I'm still going to buy Fable 3 in hopes that it won't be as bad. And probably a limited edition version of it.

Oh, and as a side question, is there any news of a release date? Not being specific, but like 2010 or 2011?

Re: Is there something missing?

Actually no i did not make this thread so you guys can down grade fable 2..
I want to know if you guys think that theres always things missing in games like i do each time i play some. If i wanted you to down grade it the topic name would be "Fable 2 Problems"

Re: Is there something missing?

I agree with that comment.
I mean me and my friend always talk about how much better it would be if they had Co-Op on there.
Hopefully fable III brings something similiar or better than just a shared screen.

Re: Is there something missing?

the simple truth is that game designers have a deadline by which they have to make everything as perfect as possible. After it comes out, we have all the time in the world to think of what they could have done better. I'll bet that the majority of game designers have a list of their own by the time most of their games hit the shelves!

The only way to make a game "perfect"...i hate using that word... is to remove the deadline and let the designers put in everything they want, the way they want. It just won't happen, something is always rushed thanks to corporate sponsors and other BS.

That is assuming they have the right idea about what makes a game awesome...cause that theory leaves open the possibility of a perfectly polished game thats absolute boredome.

Re: Is there something missing?

Im not saying that all games should be perfect, and no people dont take things out of the games themselves actually. I mean all im doing is sharing my opinion.

I mean no games can be perfect and i've already stated that i know that from the start of the topic.

I know that the designers dont always do the things other people want them to do and to be honest i personally dont think they should because if they did that then it would just be perfect for the person who gave them that idea in the first place.

All im saying is that theres things missing, im not saying that its a horrible thing and im not saying that anyone is taking it out themselves, there are things missing in games and you cant just say that there isnt because everyone knows that there is.

No games can be perfect, no games will ever be perfect.

I already know that we have to put up with and enjoy the games no matter what the problem is with it, if people dont know that then i dont know why people bother to play games if they cant just enjoy it even when they know that there could be things improved, there is always things that could be improved in any games.

I mean im not saying that theres anything wrong with fable 2, if i were saying and thinking that then why would i bother to clock it 5 times? I get over the fact that games have things missing all im doing is just sharing the opinions i have on whats missing in certain games.
