It's funny how a joke can change between languages

"You know what's good about having sex with 23 year olds?"

"No"

"There's 20 of them"

Yes, quite a disgusting joke. In danish it would sound like this

"You know what's good about having sex with 23 year olds?"

"No"

There's 3 of them"

Can anyone figure this one out?

Re: It's funny how a joke can change between languages

You are supposed to type it out in words rather than numerically.

Re: It's funny how a joke can change between languages

The joke is a bit more hidden when it's a number, people don't get it right away and when they do they're like ...... Ewww EWWW.... Ewww.....

Re: It's funny how a joke can change between languages

Yeah... Agreed with Xeon... Though personally, I have to admit it's... intuitive...

"What's so good about having sex with twenty three year olds?
"What?"
"There's twenty of them."

"Hvad er så godt om at have sex med tre og tyve år gamle's?"
"Hvad?"
"Der er tyve af dem."

Um... the Translation doesn't change... "Tyve" is twenty and "Tre" is three.

Re: It's funny how a joke can change between languages

Yeah but the Danes are a backwards people. They don't say "twenty three", but "three twenty".

But that's alright, I love you anyway.

Re: It's funny how a joke can change between languages

Let me guess, "og" means "and", right? So it's saying "three and twenty", not three twenty.

A machine can't translate a tribal language that makes no sense at all :P

What you just said: What is so good about to have sex with three and twenty year olde's
Correct Translating: Hvad er godt ved at have sex med 23 årige

This is where the number comes in, if it's "tre og tyve årige" the joke would make no sense, if it's 23 it does.

But as uyusT said we are a backwards people and say three before twenty, confuses me sometimes too :P

Re: It's funny how a joke can change between languages

You said Danish... That means the language? (Danish is still used...) So a computer program that is written in order to do such translation, should make a correct translation... oh well, it doesn't matter...

What your saying is that it's the literal number twenty-three, right?

Yeah but we got 10 words for the same thing and 10 things for the same word.

Yes

Re: It's funny how a joke can change between languages

Well if they said "Whats the best thing about sex with 3 & 20 year olds? theres 20 of them loL"
and then flip it backwards it'll all work out as they don't take the number due to position they take it as a number itself.

Ect. take 2 from 52, You dont replace 2 with 5 because its flipped or else it'll make a totally different number.

P.s Take note that i wrote "Lol" backwards

Like Germans: "drei-und-zwansig - three and twenty"

Yeah, one of those things that they managed to preserve after the latin influence :P
