iTunes/iPod/Phone problem!

iTunes/iPod/Phone problem!

So I finally got around buying Disturbed's album "Indestructible" and ripped the mp3's and imported in iTunes in order to transfer to my iPhone. However, I've got a big problem now! It won't classify this particular album by the artist (Disturbed) but instead gives me "Various Artists".

The strange thing is that if I select to show all songs or albums it does bunch together with the other Disturbed songs/albums; but on the "Cover Flow" view it is all the way in the back under "Various Artists".

Don't hit me if I'm supposed to assume you already did this, but select all the songs for that album, right click, get info, and then change the artist.

Unless it just won't show up properly in the iDevice.

'Artist' is set as Disturbed, just like all the other albums....

there is both 'artist' and 'album artist'. are they both set to disturbed?

That was the thing. /facepalm

I didn't think it was physically possible, but iTunes both suck and blow. It is a shame you have to put up with it when you own an iPhone. Windows Media player is really all I need when it comes to music players on my PC.

I didn't think it was physically possible, but iTunes both suck and blow. It is a shame you have to put up with it when you own an iPhone. Windows Media player is really all I need when it comes to music players on my PC.

Actually, it's not iTunes that sucks in this respect. It's the silly tag reading of the iPhone. iTunes does suck, yeah - but it's the fault of the iPhone.

Also, compatability for iPhones and iPod Touches in the near future for Winamp!!!
