Also, you can't be sure that JoB won't be in it. Granted, it is very unlikely, but it is only speculation.

True that I don't have any proof, but I am pretty sure he won't be in F3...

His dead... and I think that its Knight of Blades.... I've corrected my self about him being alive...

I meant Jack was alive as in after the fight with William Tell.

Re: Jack of Blades?

k im going to be neutral ground here to please everyones imagination

1) jack will NEVER EVER be a main antagonist or anything like that in fable 3. It would spoil the ending for fable tlc. Also hes dead dead dead. So even if there was a slim chance he was alive, he wouldnt wait until fable 3 to exact his revenge. It would be in fable 2 ( he likes to get things done as soon as possible)

2) that doesnt mean theres a chance he is in a mini quest. Perhaps there is a cult who worship jack ( like pagans or something) and try to ressurect him, and u need to kill them all to stop the ressurection ( like in fable 1 with the minions trying to bring a summoner and u and briar rose stop them)

3) its just a game, and this is a forum. Meaning u can post your opinion. So everyone is entitled to what they believe.

Completely baseless and built on personal speculation.

I doubt they'd confine a concept as massive and.... for want of a better term, culturally relevant (to original Fable players) as Jack to a side quest.

The voice in that video sounds an awful lot like Jacks TLC voice (which was, IMHO, inferior to the original voice), and it shows the hero fighting a minion - Jacks personal soldiers. I seriously hope something's up.

But you have to remember that Logan is only in the first half of the game, PM is forever stressing that point. The second half of the game has alot of ambiguity, and we know little about what will happen in it.

Yes, but he's been talking about how he wants to continue the game after the antagonist is beaten, after the credits roll, after the climax of the story. If Jack were to come back, he was too big of a character to be involved in anything less than the main story and its climax.

Exactly.

His voice in TLC is much more creepy, intimidating, and villainous. Why do you think the other one is better?

It was a more original idea for a voice. The TLC voice such a cliche RPG, I-am-going-to-destroy-the-world kind of bad guy voice. Jack's original voice sounded like a Lionhead idea. His TLC voice sounded like Tolkien's idea.

you were saying it was baseless and built on personal speculation. Well this is Lionhead. Remember before fable 2 came out everyone thought jack would be back? lets face it. when they say the mains tory is about ruling a kingdom and stopping your brother, they mean it. So the only way jack could be back is in a mini quest and at most i said it would make sense if people were trying to ressurect him. that doesnt mean HE IS ressurected. It means people are attempting to. By the way i watched the video as well, and saw no minion

Re: Jack of Blades?

They have said that there's a big twist in the story once you become king, and we see the hero fighting a minion in a demo, which were Jack's personal soldiers. It seems pretty open to me.

And Necro, if you look closely at it at one point you can clearly see it's Minion beak.

Look, I saw the same video you did, Arse... I agree that the voice sounded similar and the enemy he was fighting looked Minion-ish, but overall... I don't know, it didn't seem like a Jack-ish vibe.

I'm going to go with "Jack's ******* Auroran Cousin and/or Something To Do With the Shadow Court" for now.

EDIT: And don't I remember fighting Minions sent by someone other than Jack at one point?

Eh, I guess I see it now, but all that thing has in common with a minion is a beak and similar shape. However, it has a different size, different colors, different plating, a different weapon, and there's some kind of wide rotating cone-shaped object coming out of its back. There are more differences than similarities between that creature and a minion.

And that voice really doesn't sound like Jack's. Jack's voice was deeper and more...ehh, I guess raspy (can't think of how to describe it). That voice also has more of that evil whisper sort of sound to it.

Re: Jack of Blades?

Well taking into account the fact that we have a completely new engine we could probably assume that they'd update the Minion model.

Re: Jack of Blades?

Minions aren't Jack's servants, only in F1; they were the guards for the Old Kingdom. If they're in F3 it's more likely someone's bringing back Old Kingdom weapons like Lucien did, than JoB returning. But the 'minions' in the video don't really look like minions anyway.

You could say that kind of stuff all day long. They could do this, they could do that, but how would you know? The fact of the matter is, we have no idea what that thing really is, it is more different than similar to a minion, and we've heard nothing even resembling evidence of Jack's return in Fable 3.

Re: Jack of Blades?

Yeah, I reckon the minions look similar to the creatures, just as the Summoners look similar to the Sentinels, but I don't think they're the same. Perhaps some Cult of Blades work?

I also reckon that after the mid-point in the game there will be other antagonists. PM has already told us the Logan storyline, and if that were the only storyline, it means he's pretty much told us the game, which I don't think he'll do. I'd bet my bottom dollar that there is some other antagonist later on.

Well they did say that tossing his mask in lava will destroy him completely and TLC default ending is good ending...
So I think that JoB pretty much dead and we won't see him again...
And I've checked.... KoB is dead to... so we won't seeing any member of the court in the future unless they make a prequel or something...
how did the knight die?
and what about the queen?

i'd like to think it's jack of blades, but i really do doubt it. manipulating a kingdom was his style, that creature in the video did look like a minion, and the voices did sound similar, but i still doubt it.
i'm crossing my fingers that it's another one, those guys really do make for great antagonists. so brace yourselves for the 4th secret one: the king of blades!!! :shifty:

Re: Jack of Blades?

And who's to say that you can even completely destroy these court people?

nobody. trust me, i had a month long private debate with necro about all of this. argued every point, and conclusively it really could go either way. we know nothing about the void, or the beings of the void.

whether it's jack or not, whatever. but the whole point of minions and summoners was that they were summoning monsters from the void.

that's what it looks like to me is happening with the sentinel in the link you posted, arse. so i wouldn't rule the blades out yet.
