^Kinda, the image stays in your retina, and if you close your eyes after several seconds and look elsewhere you will see him on your wall, and your toast, and cheese, and your dog...

It's a mind illusion that works through the power of implication. If you had first thought that the trick was to see Mel Gibson, you probably would have seen Mel Gibson. Inverted? No. All you get if you invert that image is, well, imagine the white parts black and the black parts white. That's inverted. Doesn't make it Jesus.

To test this, send it to a friend without mentioning Jesus. Just say look at this then look at a blank wall. Have them tell you what they see.
